Hello Ann,
Do we take this week off? Dr. Sonja is have Pm email? Did you send the New alphabet listed to home email? and what alphabet addresses send too home email too please! Thanks Linda
Hello ladies, thank you all for the gorgeous birthday cards, I feel so lucky to have made so many friends on SCS, I am slowly sending pMs now the family have left, we had a lovely time with them but exhausting with a five year old! Never sits still and his games always seem to be one where chasing is involved, ha,ha,
he’s learning Spanish at school so even ordered his own meal of chopitos, baby squid, and said hello how are you to the Spanish people we know, he was very proud of himself!!
jsut getting the villa back in order and a few jobs to do, a couple of floor tiles in the garden need replacing, oh joy, but then I will hopefully get back to crafting as he weather is a cool 25c!!
Ann you really are a trooper getting another challenge going, not sure I will ever catch-up on the old one!
I don't see the new FF challenges up yet. I'm doing all the tutorials and a few of the challenges but I doubt there will be a tutorial today. There's usually ten of those so if we go 2 weeks there will be a few days we don't have a tutorial. Wednesdays we always have a tutorial so I'm guessing none today. Hopefully there will be a card challenge that I have time to do. I have to run to town later.
Good morning! I'm here, we had a lovely light rain yesterday and so many deer visitors. I think having the tree down has increased the visiting of deer. They seem to like it being down.
Yesterday, DD1 slept through her alarm and was 90 minutes late for work! That is a first. She is usually early. She was rather tired from a busy weekend.
Please pray for DH. He has a big project due in a couple of weeks but he has to rely on other people doing things. There is a lot of work to do for it to be accomplished.
Thank you for the new round, Ann. I received it in my email. And thank you for all you do! Brrr to all that cold weather!
Jan, I'm glad you had a good birthday and had family there. That is so good that your grandson is learning Spanish, good job ordering his food himself!
A new round!! Thank you Ann, email rec’d! Dear me, hopelessly behind on the last one....shall start fresh.
It is cold here! I forget how far Ann and I are from each other, I’m in the SW corner of our state and she is somewhere mid state I believe. My daughter who lives in the middle of our state said she saw flurries yesterday!! It’s funny b/c when I walked the dog yesterday morning, I said to myself the wind sure felt like winter! The cold air revives and refreshes me. I’m in perimenopuase and while I don’t have hot flashes, I‘m just always warm, so sometimes I got outside for no good reason other than to cool off! ;) The dog and I usually get a nice 30-45 min walk in first thing after the kiddos go to school.
For November, I’m staying off FB and Instagram. Yesterday and today it’s been so peaceful and calm in my mind and heart. October is usually my cozy favorite month, but it didn’t happen like that this year, so I’m taking November to cozy in and be content and calm.
I just posted this on my Facebook page. If anyone wants to check out the videos, there will be a new one posted each day. I can easily post them on here. A2Z Christmas Crafts, a 34-video experience for holiday paper crafting. It started yesterday, November 1st, on YouTube. Look under RachandBella Crafts on YouTube for details if you want to start your holiday paper crafting fun early. I am a day late and will catch-up tomorrow. Here is Day 1 presented by Nonstop Papercrafts, the letter A for Advent. And here are photos of my two advent tags! The larger photo hopefully shows a bit of the sparkle spray! #a2zchristmascrafts

Thank you Ann for continuing to do this. I did get the email. I hope I pm'd everyone thank you for my cards. If I missed anyone, I am sorry. I enjoyed everyone of my cards, and am so appreciative of all of you.
Cold here, too, Ann. 40, and colder tomorrow, but are saying it will get up to 60s next week again. I can't wait. I don't like walking in the cold. I did yesterday, but not today. Rainy.
Happy New round, everyone!
Happy Hump Day! Wednesday already?
-I am not loving the thought of the freezing temps at home! It is going to be quite the shock when we arrive back home in a few days!
-Ann- thanks for the email and for all you do!
-Kandie- I would love a link for the FB page as well- love the vintage feel to these images- beautifully created! So sorry you have lost so much weight! Wow- but glad you are getting the itching a little under control! Wonder what is setting it off!
-We were getting notifications via Ring when kids came to the door- felt bad we missed it oin the 31st, one kid came back and stood looking at the door for like 3 or 4 minutes! Oh boy!
Rays team is 2-2 and play today for match-ups for the playoffs. Game is at 10AM EST and then we have the rest of the day off. Tomorrow is a day of rest : ) Not sure what we will do. The team is getting together tonight, but have learned a few of them are unvaccinated, so will have to think about going.... may stay in a create : )
Off to get ready to head out to the game!
Glad everyone received their birthday cards, it was a pleasure to create and send.
I'm having a bit of trouble adjusting to the cold, which is unusual as I prefer to be on the cold side. Also unusual because as soon as I started my trip northward, it was quite cold there. So I've had a couple of weeks to toughen up. There was a little snow up there also, not anything that lasted long.
Wisconsin is so beautiful. I so enjoyed my drives, had a hard time focusing on the road. Tamarack trees galore!!! Like sunshine.
I loved getting back to creating yesterday, looking forward to abc16. Thanks, Jayne, for the email.
Be well, everyone.
DH is on his way to Ollie's to pick up another space heater. I have two but this one we bought last week has a timer that you can set to turn it on. My other one only has a timer to set to turn it off. I like being able to set this at night to make sure it's warm when we get up in the morning. We are total electric heat and that bill can be really high so we haven't turned those heaters on yet. We had frost overnight so it got really cold. I ran down for lab work this morning and on my way got a text from my sister that her mother-in-law had passed around 6 a.m. She had pneumonia in both lungs and they knew she was not going to make it.
Kathy, I’m so sorry to hear that news. Hugs to to your sister.
We’ve had our heat on for a while. I get so cold anymore. I have flannel sheets, a quilt and a heavy bedspread on the bed and sometimes still put my robe on to stay warm. Poor DH sticks out an arm and both feet to cool off!
Jean, I have been to Wisconsin Dells when I was little, I LOVE Wisconsin!
Sharon, 32 here this morning!!! I hauled upstairs this gorgeous real fur coat that I bought at an estate sale many years ago, and sometimes wear it to take Dusty Dog out in the winter. It is politically incorrect to wear real fur, but I hated the thought that something this gorgeous would go in the dumpster, especially since it was made here in South Bend. So I give it love in the winter and store it in the summer. It weighs a ton!
i don’t contribute much to Facebook. Mostly I follow a few craft ladies. I have joined three of their private groups and follow their videos.

It was 25 degrees when I got up this morning and turned up the heat! I always turn it down at night for better sleeping! Under the covers is so much nicer!
Kathy, I remember those heating bills with electric heat. That's all we could get when we first built. Changed to gas as soon as we could! Our electric bills were higher then our mortgage back then!
Good morning! It was in the low 50s when I got up, we have had cooler weather already this season but back to 50s. Our house is also electric only which is why I'm so thankful for the wood stove as that is how we heat. Electricity in CA is so expensive! It is an unusual morning in that DD1 didn't get up early to go to work. She works this afternoon and gets to set up the new holiday launch with a co-worker.
Last night, DH had another meeting and I finally got to work organizing my stamps in the storage pockets. This now involves stamping them on the insert sheet, laminating that, and then putting them on the sheet and in the pocket. This is for my non SU stamps and I was dragging my feet on it because it isn't going to be quick. Now I'm excited to get it finished!
Rebekah, my inner thermostat got elevated when I had DD1 and it never really went back to normal so I'm usually hot - poor DH! When my mom was alive, I preferred to visit her and her husband (my dad had passed and she remarried) in the cooler months so I could go outside to cool off from their warm house!
Kandie, thanks for the link to the craft ideas. Your tags are gorgeous and your coat is too! I know it isn't politically correct, however, it was already a coat so you may as well get some use from such a beautiful thing!
Jean, tamarack was my dad's favorite wood to burn when I was growing up in Oregon. I guess it burns clean - always a bonus. There isn't much of it here in CA. Yes, Wisconsin is a gorgeous state.
Kathy, I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister's MIL.
Ann, yikes to a heating bill higher than the mortgage! I'm glad you were able to change to gas. I miss having a gas stove for cooking, loved having instant heat though I did have to adjust to it.
Gracie, are you teaching a craft class at the senior center?
Honey is so cute, she is all tucked into the cat bed closer to the wood stove.
First of all, Thank you so very much Ann for taking the time to continue to challenge us weekly. I do hope I can do a better job this time around. My crafting time has been quite limited and probably will continue to be limited, but I take what I can get. I did not receive the email with the challenges, but I have them here on the thread, so no biggie. I get so many junk emails, I delete them without opening them. It is quite possible that it was mixed up in that bunch.
Ann, thank you for your beautiful Christmas card and all of the goodies inside. Yours is always the first one that I receive and it reminds me to check my Christmas box and see how many I still need to make. My number is not as high as yours, still, 65 is high enough for me.
I have not been able to keep up with the thread and see how everyone is doing, but I do keep all of you in my prayers and thoughts. Time to get my Mom her lunch and tend to her.
Hi Sally, so nice to hear from you!! Glad my card made it to you! Just remember it's people before paper and that is life! So no worries about anything! Hugs to you and your mom!
Can someone do me favor go to this link I have some stamping questions and thoughts by hotwheels at Splitcoaststampers I can't to open pass page 24 I posted link on there to try it out. Can see if can open it! I get page can't found and other going with thread I report. Dr. Sonja Profile is missed I need back in thread. Can you see if you can see and access what I iposted It said page 24 but 40 something It screw up! I need fixed
Well, I’m not feeling any worse. Just tired and my throat sometimes feel dry and scratchy. Time to bring up the big humidifier for the main parts of the house. I’ll run my diffuser in the bedroom tonight. Sipping some tea before I head to bed.
I did get a digi image colored today. That’s more than I have been doing, so I’ll count that as progress!! One of the dogs leaves tomorrow, I’ll miss her. Other than that, I plan to be home. yay!
Kandie, I think it’s better to use your coat it than throw it away, you must be the best dressed dog walker any one has ever seen, ha,ha, my grandma had a fur coat when I was a girl. I loved sitting next to her in dads car in the winter as I could snuggle up to her.
I have my Christmas cards all ready to go, I made them all during lockdown, three months was soooo long not being aloud outside the gate!! Kept me sane I think along with chatting to everyone on here.
I have five tiles to lay this morning, steve has dug it all out ready. Shouldn’t take too long hopefully. I think we’re getting old as one small job and we are shattered!!
the weather is changing here, cool mornings and evenings and warm during the day but we haven’t had the fire on yet. We used to have the gas portable heaters, useless really and so much condensation, since we had the log fire the villa is much warmer, even in the morning it’s still warm from the night before,
Good morning! It is wet and rainy here this morning. So pretty outside. Yesterday I had the house to myself for an hour or so, it was lovely! DH went hiking with a friend and both girls were at work. I continued working on setting up my stamps in storage pockets. I got a lot done and laminated but still a number of steps to have those stamp sets done.
Vickster said to tell you all hello and that she loves and misses you. Mahalo to those who sent birthday cards. Challenging times for them continue and now she isn't doing very well either. She said her legs aren't working very well.
Sally, glad you popped on. And thankful you are able to help your mother. As Ann says, people before paper.
Linda, it wouldn't go past page 24 for me either. Strange, I have my display set to show 50 posts per page. Strange that it is working for Kathy. I am using a Macbook to access the site.
I hope you are feeling better today, Rebekah.
Jan, I imagine you have your tiles laid by now. Good job!
Dagmar, aren't wood stoves wonderful? We haven't even used our electric heat the last two winters. It is a bit cold in the bedrooms but that is better for sleeping.
Ann, thanks for letting us know about Lisa. So sorry to hear this. I can't believe it has been 21 years since my dad passed away - which means 11 years for my mom.
We have a friend coming over tonight so I probably won't get anymore done on my stamp organizing, we'll see.
Good evening, ladies. We have a local insurance commercial featuring a pair of homeowners who say they love their house but there is an animal in the attic. Then the camera pans to the attic, and it’s Animal, one of the Jim Henson Muppets, beating the daylights out of a set of drums, lol. Now when I see the letter A next Wednesday is for Animal, I keep thinking of the Muppets. I’m not sure what kind of animal Animal is!
Jan, I have four beautiful fur coats: that long one, a short one, a fur stole, and an amazingly heavy long leather coat with a huge fur collar. When I see that such an item has a price tag of $25, I have to get it, even if it’s just being worn around the house, or admired hanging up.
Sally, good to see you on here!
Hi, Dagmar!
Ann, sending you a pm for Lisa’s address.
I wanted to get some prunes, or Milk of Magnesia, for me, and baby wipes for Dusty Dog from when she goes out. She dribbles a bit. DH took me to a local store yesterday, and I put prune juice, the laxative stuff, and baby wipes in my cart. Then I stood in line and looked at the three items and thought, can I advertise my age and gastric issues any clearer that that? How embarrassing.
The next journal is done; it’s a sunflower theme with blues, greens and aquas. The digital papers are from Angela Kerr Designs on Etsy, and she has videos for using the papers on YouTube.

We too have all eletric heating in our house. Thankfully we have one wood stove, so we can keep the electric heating at low temperature.
Kathy ,Im so sorry . Sending Hugs your way.
Gracie, did my birthday card for you arrive?
Have a great day everyone.
Hi Dagmar, yes, I received your card. It is gorgeous!
I sent you a PM on October 18th. Sorry if you didn't receive it. Here's what I wrote:
"Dagmar, Thank you so much for the beautiful floral birthday card! You're so thoughtful! Hope you have a great day! Love & Hugs, Gracie"

Wow, Kandie, that journal is absolutely GORGEOUS! You are so talented. My grandmother used to have fur coats. I remember one that had foxes for a collar and there was a clasp in one of their mouths so you could clip it closed onto another fox. Eeek!
