Ive always worried that I might have some metal that I didn't know about and worried the magnetic field would pull it out through my body! LOL. My dad has a metal clip in the back of his head from when he had his stroke. They did exploratory surgery to see what might have happened. Now he can't have an MRI.

Kathy, those towels look great on your chairs. Good choice.
Anne, so sorry for the medical issues you're having. I hope they find out what is causing the migraines. Hugs!
Ann, thanks for the new list. I was laughing about the frogs playing under your pool cover all night. It just struck me as funny! Soon you'll have tadpoles enjoying your pool, too! LOL
Catherine, we just got some rainy weather in Arizona...I hope it lasts all day as it is so dry here. 40 is a bit chilly for me, but I hate the humidity too. Nothing to do but sweat! The only good thing is that I done have much of an appetite when it's humid. We are hoping to get new internet service in Wisconsin. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Have a great day all!

Yes, Ann. If I have more personal stuff, I send a pm. I was on one website the other day and a woman posted her name, address and email! If I see that, I remind them not to do that and I hope my reminder is timely enough that no one had a chance to get it.

Good chilly morning! Yes, it is still chilly here and I'm enjoying every minute of it...huddled under my blanket on the couch as I type this message. I really am enjoying it as I know, before too long, we'll be "enjoying" triple digit weather. DD1 had to open this morning - which means work at 4 am. DH has gone down the hill so it is easier for me to do my Friday chores. I don't have to work around him or worry about being noisy if he is on a call. Very kind of him to do that as it is a chore to pack it up and go down the hill.
Thanks for the updated list, Ann!
Kathy, I think I saw that on a TV show somewhere. That someone was having an MRI and hadn't disclosed the metal information and it pulled right through them.
Gracie, I'll keep my fingers crossed for improved service in WI for you too!
Kathy, I'm always amazed when I see someone post their cell phone number say on Facebook or something!

Kathy, my metal is not a problem with an MRI........the Dr. who called for it put in the metal himself.....titanium and stainless steel are ok. But thanks for worrying for me. Hugs.

that's good,Anne! I would guess the doctor would know enough, but I figured I would check just in case. I don't know enough about metals. I guess stainless steel is different than the steel cans I recycle.

Hello
I think so much about us is 'out there' on Google already, but totally agree about not sharing so much personal info! I had no clue until recently that anyone can look on SCS and read what we write on any forum! I turn off share my location on my phone too, but hear people can figure out locations pictures were taken posted on any forum.
Agree with using caution!
I had another Irish relative contact me about a Family Tree connection. I discovered on Ancestry, when I find a marriage or birth or death record, you can hit the side arrows and scroll the book : ) So, there have been a few late nights up 'scrolling'. : )
Hope you have a fabulous weekend! Ray had a double header tomorrow and wants me to come- Katie will come join us. It is going to be 92 but plenty of shade trees around the ball field. Katie and pup will come out at some point. (30+ decrees C)
Yesterday, went with a friend to a watercolor show- about an hour and a half away... such a huge variety of artwork. It is amazing to see how much variety there is within one medium. I learned to find out who the judge is if you want to enter a show- if known. The judge for the show does very abstract art and chose a crazy picture as Best of Show. We also get to pick a viewers favorite, and that was fun.
Have a great weekend!
Shelly

Good morning. I went out and picked asparagus and then I'm in for the day. Turned on the AC. DH and DD and friend went out rock climbing or walking at Devil's Lake, so I have the house to myself all day.
I've always been careful about what I share anywhere on line. I'm not geeky enough to know what is really private, so I treat everything that way.

I'm so sad. A very good friend from a few years ago passed away today. I had a call from a different friend, and she didn't leave a message so I wondered if that might be the case. I don't know what happened but she was diabetic. We haven't been in touch for a couple of years. Only an email here and there. I just found out from my son. He is friends on facebook with her son.

So sorry to hear about your friend, Kathy. Hugs.
Shelly and Ann your weather is hot and you too Melody.
We have around 70 degrees with a nice breeze. Just went for a walk and going to order pizza. We have a holiday weekend here, and you in the States do as well I think. Restaurants here are still just take out. No dining in yet but maybe soon.
We are meeting friends tomorrow at lunchtime for sushi at their place. We pick ours up on the way to their place and they pick up theirs. Will sit outside. Hope the weather holds.
Lately we have been getting a lot of scam callers. We can call block some of them at least.
Hi Jayne, Jan, Anne and all.

Our holiday is memorial day on May 31st. I see yours is the 24th Victoria Day.
We get scam calls a lot too, even on our cell phones. Lately our calls are from all over the USA trying to get DH to select their supplements for healthcare since he will be 65 at the end of October. At least 5 calls a day!

Ah, thanks for setting me straight Kathy on your upcoming holiday! I am sure we did have 5 calls yesterday. If you get those every day, that would be so annoying.
Aloha, Victoria!

Morning Ladies, we had a day of rain yesterday, non stop, this morning sunny, thankfully.
kathy so sorry to hear about your friend.
Shirl we sometimes get calls, if we don’t know the number we don’t answer then we go in and block the number so they can’t call again although about two weeks ago we did answer a call and it was the health service giving me my vaccine appointment!

Morning! I’m feeling so free and relieved. We are done with homeschool and I can stop over thinking and preparing for it all. We will still do lots of fun things and learning adventures through out the summer, but the main curriculum is done. Yay! It frees up so much space in my heart and mind.
And here we are in another round of Alpha challenges and I’ve missed a lot.
My husband had the stomach bug over the weekend and DD1 didn’t feel too great yesterday. At least we are hoping it’s that and not COVID. Everyone slept well last night, so nobody else seems to have come down with it. My stomach gurgled a bit when I woke up, but maybe it always does and I’m hyper sensitive right now lol. 20% if people start COVID with digestive issues and with everything going on here in the next few weeks, we don’t need THAT. If he isn’t feeling better today, he will get tested just to cover that base.
DD2 graduates this Friday night. She is all done with high school as of this past Friday! Then her part is the following Saturday. I have a two week cram to prep for it all. Her school scrapbooks are way behind and I don’t promise those getting caught up, but I have bins of things to go through and we can put together a nice display board/table. I have black and orange fabric (school colors!) to make a swag out of by attaching the strips of fabric between the bulbs on string lights I bought.
Off to make today’s CAS card.

Prayers needed for our Iris, she has been sick for days, not eating, throwing up even water.
She is going to the vet today. She is so weak.
Hugs to all for a good day!

I'm sorry about Iris...I hate it when animals are sick. At least people can say what hurts.
I'm sorry about your friend, Kathy. Getting to the age where family is gone and now friends leaving this earth. Sad.
Believe it or not, I've never been to Devil's Lake. Driven past many times. Need to remedy that.
My granddaughters were tested over the weekend because one had symptoms and the neighbors have it going through the house. Just found out both negative. Whew.

Good morning! It is only just after 9 am and my morning has already gone sideways. DH has a headache and we were out of Excedrin (only had one tablet). Actually, we use Walmart's generic of Excedrin. He was just going to try to work through the day and wait until I got home with some. That's nonsense! So I dashed to the little market in our little town close by and, fortunately, found something there that has the trifecta of medicine in it like Excedrin. Now, of course, I'm behind!
We had a busy weekend - DD1 and I went to a baby shower yesterday which seemed to take up most of afternoon. I'm way behind on prepping for DD2's graduation celebration -- that is probably what I'm stressing about the most. She, of course, doesn't want a party or anything or photos or anything!
Kathy, I'm sorry about your friend.
Ann, sorry that Iris isn't well too. Praying the vet can identify the issue.
Yay for being done with homeschooling, Rebekah! I know that wonderful feeling. It really does take a lot of mental prep and time but it is so worth it.
It's strange, you all have been having your AC on and we had another fire in the wood stove on Friday night because it was so cool. I thought once before that we had had our last fire in the stove of the season and then we had that one. Is this the last one of the season? Perhaps.
I have a cute little dog right beside me as I type this. And I really need to finish my coffee and head to work.

Today is much colder and no sunshine. I set up the game camera last night pointed at my garden. We are trying to figure out what is nibbling on the kale but all I saw were birds.

Update on Iris. 3 hours waiting in the parking lot at the vet as they do not let you go in.
She had xrays, blood work, etc. They found a mass near her bladder on the xray. Her fever
was up to 105 degrees. Normal for a dog is 100 - 102.
They have given her shots for nausea, and will do an ultra sound on Wednesday to find
out more about the mass. She is sleeping right now in the kitchen. Such a sad day. Worse
thing is that her back legs are not working well. It may be the mass putting pressure on the
spinal column. We wait and see.
Things not looking good for our beloved girl.

Hi everyone! Busy day and busy errands after work. Thankful to do Subway for dinner.
Sharon, glad to hear that Larry is doing so well, continued prayers for you. So thankful that your family was already scheduled to be there.
Kathy, I noticed that too and wondered the same thing.
