Sharon, glad you popped in. I realized this morning, that I had not asked how you were doing and how Larry was doing. Glad you contacted Dagmar and that she is okay. Shelly, so sorry to hear of the loss of that young man. Gracie -lots of company for you. Fun! Jan the mail is hard to figure out. I sent one a card to Belgium and it got there in almost a week! Used to be 3 weeks at least. Catherine, ha, yes, no one is tired of eating, lol. With that strength training you will have worked up an appetite too, lol. Yay! your daughter will be home tonight!

What great news Catherine, that she is home safe! You have a beautiful family!
My sons will all be together here on Saturday! Hasn't happened for awhile now! So lots to do this week! And of course so far the forecast calls for rain! Would be our luck!
Good morning! So happy to have my girlie back home. I am blessed with such a wonderful family and they put up with me.
Goodness, DD2 wanted Thai food so DD1 ordered via Postmates (whatever that is). DD2 wanted it to go because she was anxious to get home and see her kitty too. We dropped by to pick up the order and got the wrong order! Which we didn't discover until we got home - 30 minutes away from the restaurant that was closing in 15 minutes. What a mix up and disappointment. Oh well, we tried! Fortunately, DD1 contacted Postmates and we will be refunded since we didn't get our meal.
Sharon, I'm glad you contacted Dagmar. Thanks for the update. I hope Larry is well recovered.
Gracie, goodness you are busy with company! What concert did you attend?
Shirl, praying they contain the fires in BC as well as the big one in Oregon.
Ann, how exciting that you will have all your boys together! That will be wonderful!
Kathy, I hope you are doing OK and aren't too sore from all that work you've been doing!
DD2 is already awake - imagine that, since she's been 3 hours ahead of CA for a week and a half. She had a fun trip and is glad to be home. She missed us...and Wesley.
Hello everyone,
I'm back from the northwoods....had a great, chaotic, fun time. My daughter and two grand girls were there (that's why it was chaotic), plus my brother and his wife, two dogs (one a very noisy Weimaraner) and a shortage of good sleeping spaces. Oh my. I'm sure my brother in law was happy to say goodbye to all of us. Great weather, lots of swimming, a pontoon ride on a neighboring lake, ice cream with fresh picked raspberries, chocolate cake and excellent bakery pies, brats on the grill, cheese curds, just a good old Wisconsin weekend.
I'm happy to hear about Dagmar, was thinking of her. How absolutely awful. And the fires......holy cats. There was a story on CBS Sunday morning a while ago about people moving away from the west coast because of the fires and the best place to move is the midwest around the Great Lakes. Yeah we're cold but we don't have too many worries besides that. And nothing keeps us inside in the winter.
Just so I'm accountable, I'm telling all of you that I joined Noom two weeks ago. Have lost 7.5 lbs. I'm very good at losing weight, not so good at keeping it off. I hope to do better so that I'm done with losing the same 50 lbs. Getting tired of that and I also want to live to see my grands grow up, not get diabetes or high bp, lower my cholesterol. For me, all of that is weight related. So far, so good.
Glad everyone seems to be good, despite doctor visits, stomach bugs, deaths of people far too young (I'm so sorry, Shelly), relief that loved ones have come home safely, smashed fingers, sore backs, fires, floods, hoards of locusts (our state bird is a mosquito), etc. etc. etc.

Catherine so glad DD2 is home and your family is all together again. Bummer about the food mix up. Praying the fires get contained and the western states get some much needed rain.
Ann, sounds like a fun weekend ahead. Welcome back Jean...sounds like a great Wisconsin weekend. Kathy, I hope you are doing well and got to get some crafting in with your group. Take care everyone and miss all of you!

I'm tired but all of the branches have been cut and burned! I kept at it on and off and DH helped. Tomorrow we are the only ones home to help mom so maybe Thursday we can go look at refrigerators and stoves. I might possibly get a microwave, toaster and coffeemaker too. Depends on how far I can stretch my SS money. They retired me on DH's retirement date and backpayed me. I'm hoping to put a chunk of it in the credit union account. That's a savings account he had when he worked. Now nothing goes in there unless we deposit it.
Shelly, sorry to hear of your friend’s son. So young.
Ann, enjoy your son’s visit.
Welcome back Jean and go you with your weight loss.
I’ve had a busy day helping DIL and have been trying to add my card photos from iCloud. Gosh it takes forever and I will post tomorrow those I’m allowed to share. More samples to make…about 5 challenges to go I think….or for those I offered to do samples for….and then I will see what energy, if any, I have left to do more.
DH gets his 1st vaccine tomorrow. He has had a rough week so hopefully it won’t affect him.
We have visitors coming to stay for the weekend…son3 and GF and one of their friends as they have an engagement party up our way. I guess I will be sorting out the bedrooms the next couple of days.
Waving to you all. Hope all of you with ailments are feeling better today.

My craft room is even more of a mess now, steve was making a fly screen for my craft room, only been up there eighteen years without one , anyway, his drill broke and a quick job took two hours, he bought all his tubs of screws and raw plugs into my room, tipped them out and now I have to clean before I can put stuff back as there’s bits everywhere.
we had to leave it to finish tomorrow as it got so hot
Good morning! DH finally got the window in place in DD2's room, now to put the siding back up on the house. He had to take it down to install the window because of how it was put up around the windows. He isn't looking forward to doing her other window because it will be more of the same. Her bed is away from the wall right now and she can't wait to get it back in place but she has some touch ups she wants to do to the paint while the bed is pulled away. Never ending, isn't it?
I can't wait for him to replace the window over my craft desk but it will be the same problem so now I'm not so excited about it. Poor guy, DD2 and I were helping him last night so the window could be finally installed.
Jean, welcome back and congrats on your weight loss. Can you tell me about Noom? I have seen it and wondered about it but haven't stopped to look into it.
Gracie, enjoy your company.
Kathy, I hope you aren't too sore from all that tree work. So exciting that you are getting new appliances.
Jayne, yay for having your family coming. Enjoy! I'm surprised there isn't a shopping list up for DTGD yet. I wonder if it has gone the way of the thread for this month's Dirty Girl gallery? And thank you for leaving some love on my Leftovers card!
Ann, are you on track to get everything done for this weekend?
Jan, isn't that the fun of home improvement projects? The clean up afterwards? Is the fly screen done though?
Dagmar, I'm glad you popped on to let us know you and your family are safe.
Catherine, I think the track got derailed!!! Just took two Tylenol and I am taking a break!
Groceries were delivered to the wrong address this morning, the poor woman! Got her before she left the other house!
I got the notice here are all your groceries, stacked on the back patio! I looked and saw red bricks! Oops that is not my house! Lucky she was still in their driveway! Poor woman had to reload all of them and then again when she got to my house!
I had to quickly get everything put away as items were starting to melt! Yikes!
She told me I was so sweet for not getting upset over the whole thing! She said the service was upgrading and it directed her to the other house! LOL.
So that's how my day is going! I have a headache and just going to sit and relax for a few minutes before going to the next item!
Peekaboo !! Just stopped In to say a quick Fond ALOHA to all and send each one blessings from my heart! Miss and love you all! Also wish everyone a happy belated Hauoli Lahnau!!
Hi Sis Vicki..long time no here. Hope you and your family are well.
Sharon hope you and Larry are going ok.
Catherine I thought a shopping list would be up by now too but I think you should be ok *wink*
Gracie, enjoy your visitors.
Dagmar so glad you and your family are ok. So sad what is happening around the world with floods and fires and still Covid hanging around.
Time for me to get moving. Waving to you all.
Yay, the spacing is fixed.

Hello all!
We drove down to the city (Chicago) tonight. 1 1/2 hours to get there, and 45 minutes to get back home. We drove in at rush hour. We saw the Interactive Van Gogh exhibit and had dinner.
I started the day early, my Sil (from Mexico) is having a medical workup after her cancer surgery a couple of years ago. I went to pick her up from the hospital 30 minutes away, and dropped her off at home. It was tolerated well by her and I had to swing by Hobby Lobby on the way home...LOL
Catherine- you are so lucky to have such a handy hubby!
Dagmar- so glad you are OK- are you far away from the area where the flooding is?
Kathy- have fun shopping! Although, shopping for appliances is not too fun.......necessary....
Ann- I want to see a picture of your 5 boys all together!
Aloha Victoria!
Waving hello to everyone else- need to get to bed! After I upload a few cards.....
Shelly
Off to visit my DS and BIL today, my mom Friday and my GD first birthday party on Saturday. Needless to say, I won't be on my computer much...which is a good thing because Abby (new puppy) chewed up my charger. SHEESH!!! Always something! I ordered a new one but it won't be here for a few days.
Great to hear from you Sis and have a great weekend everyone!

The refrigerator comes Saturday and the stove comes next Thursday! Lucky I researched online and wrote down the model numbers because they didn't have either appliance on the floor to look at! I'm going with the glass cooktop s instead of the elements. I will have a learning curve using that. The fridge is the same brand we had before and that one was purchased in 1999!!!
Good morning! Lots of chatter since I posted yesterday morning - yay! DD2 made delicious sandwiches for the family for dinner last night and I grilled corn on the cob. The sandwiches were pesto, fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato, and garlic salt and garlic powder. Then she grilled them like grilled cheese. I made vegan pesto for the vegans in the house so they got tasty sandwiches too.
Ann, what a mixup on the delivery of your groceries! That isn't a very good upgrade if it is giving wrong directions! I hope you are feeling better today for your baking and cleaning work. I second Shelly's request for a photo of all your boys.
Vickster! So glad you popped in. I'm sorry you are still dealing with so many issues, you and your family are in our prayers. {{{hugs}}}
Jayne, I wonder if the shopping list is lost in cyber space? That seems to be where the thread for this month's fan club is. (I haven't looked for it today.)
Jan, Steve has a point...still it would be nice to have it finished!
Shelly, that sounds like a fun exhibit to visit.
Goodness, Gracie, you are so busy! You haven't really had a chance to even verify if your internet is better now!
Yay for new appliances, Kathy. What style of refrigerator are you getting? I had my dream refrigerator for a little while but the people who bought our house bought the refrigerator with it. It was the French door style with the freezer on the bottom. I really want to get one like that again.
Well, busy day ahead at work so I should get off here and get going.
I’ve had a glass hob since we moved here, easy to clean, still as good as new even after eighteen years.
had a nice afternoon, our neighbours came around for a chat, they are flying to England on Saturday, for a week to visit family, it was lovely to catch up, socially distance of course.
I like my freezer on top so it's just a regular white fridge. We don't have room for those side by sides and we'd have to run lines for water or ice maker. My sister has the glass top stove, which she loves. I see the new ones with elements have a small button on the middle of the burner. I guess they prevent uneven cooking but I wasn't impressed.
Kathy so cute and he’s still so tiny. Ooh I hope he doesn’t get lost in the laundry tub.
I have a 5 burner gas hob. I’ve only ever used 4 of the burners. I’ve had an electric one too but find I can regulate the heat better with gas. The electric ones are much easier to clean though.
Gracie enjoy all of your family time. So happy for you.
DH had his first vaccine shot yesterday and isn’t great. He’s getting all the symptoms he usually gets with his episodes. Hopefully he will come good later.
Enjoy your visitors Ann…I have to still get our bedrooms ready for our visitors. That’s today’s job.
happy weekend everyone

Thanks Jan. He says he’s feeling a little better. I’ve done the bedrooms but can’t clean outside as it’s raining. I have to take DGS to football training later. Have a great day

Hello everyone, I don't think I've been on this chat this week. Monday was the only day I've been able to devote to art completely so I feel a bit scattered and I'm two ABC challenges behind. Hope to remedy that before next Wednesday. DTGD is an added big challenge and I still have samples to make. I'm waiting to upload until closer to the date, even though I will be gone the first week in August. That's why I didn't sign up for any early samples. It'll get done, maybe by the skin of my teeth.
Got back from the northwoods on Sunday. Fun, crazy, chaotic time. 6 adults, 2 children, two dogs. Pardon me if I've already told you this. Busier week than usual this week, with coffee with a friend, yoga, some Zentangle with friends, phone conversation with a friend in CT that is at least two hours long, I'm dog sitting this weekend. So in demand am I.
Have a good weekend and I'll try to get caught up with what is going on in your lives. All the best.
