Ann, so sorry you're sick. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you should check into a hotel and have a relaxing weekend away from everything! Hugs!
Anne, glad you had a great day! I suffered with sinus headaches for 30+ years. It's hard to keep your spirits up sometimes. Take care! Lots of hugs!
Jan, so happy to hear you were cheered up by your card! Sending hugs to you to!
Well, I have to run...another busy day. We are going to visit DH dad and then we have an outdoor wedding to attend. I feel sorry for the wedding party...90's and humid again today! Gonna be a hot day with a chance of thunderstorms later.

Good afternoon! I've been trying to get my chores done quickly today but got derailed a bit waiting for DD2 to wake up. Sunday afternoon is her escape room party with friends then we are going to the church for some refreshments afterward as it is close by where the escape room is.
Anne, thanks for leaving some love in my gallery. I hope you are enjoying a lovely day.
Ann, I hope you are feeling better today. I hate it when my throat gets so sore it hurts to even swallow water. Are you trying warm water with ginger and honey in it?
Jan, I'm glad you found a paper hug in your mailbox. I hope you are feeling better too. I agree, I love this group and your friendships are so valued to me as well.
Gracie, I hope the venue for the outdoor wedding is shaded - for everyone! It reminds me of an outdoor wedding here where I played my flute. It was hot and humid (for here) that day and I thought my flute was going to slide off my chin I was so warm!!! I hope your event is more comfortable than that.
I need to get back to my chores but I stopped to take a lunch break and check in here. I need to go see where my laundry is and vacuum etc. I didn't get the house cleaned last week because I was busy with grad stuff.
In the last hour we had a lot of thunder and pouring rain including hail (pea size & smaller). Temperature dropped about 10 degrees, but it's still over 80.
Morning. Hope everyone is feeling good and those who haven’t been feeling great are improving.
Jan, glad the card arrived to you and cheered you up. I’ve sent you a message about it lol. Know we all cherish your friendship…hugs.
Well that’s another week gone..how did that happen. At least the sun is shining.

I found a free printable pdf to label my SU blends and I love it! You print them out to scale and then use a 3/8 inch circle punch to punch them out and then you use a glue dot to put them on the ends of the markers. It's a perfect system and the print out sheet gives you two of each marker. I will look and see who did the PDF file. So I can post it here and give her credit. But here's a picture of my markers
I noticed the other day that under Subscribed Threads -list subscriptions, in my profile panel, that it has kept track of everything I have ever posted. So I have been deleting a ton. I had no idea, it was keeping track.
Does anyone know if I can turn this off or will I have to keep going in to delete posts?

Had a fun end to the week- had book club Thursday night- and had to read the book Thursday : ) And, went to see my sis1 with my other sis2 on Friday. Sis 1 son and DIL and baby flew back to NJ today-early AM. The baby is adorable and we had a really fun afternoon. We had Portillo's for dinner- a Midwest thing I think : )
Melodie- here the weather was crazy too- we had high winds for about 15 minutes with thunder and lightening- spotty rain (only added up to about 1/16") and the temps dropped 20 degrees, but back up within a few hours...... Hubby had a ball game, and manages to finish it before the storm....getting beat by 1 run in the end......
Kathy- so nice to be so organized with your markers!! What great stickers for the ends!
Gracie- glad the weather was OK for the wedding and not too hot and humid!
Jan- Love that Alpha HUGS idea- wonderful!!!
Jean- that was one really bad sore throat! Yikes- surprised it did not land you in the hospital!
I’ve heard from Kandie. Her procedure went well and she’s waiting to hear back on the results…later this coming week. I’m sure she would love a pm from you. She’s still busy renovating and painting and not doing craft at present.
Shelly glad you had a wonderful time with the little one and your family…special times.
I’m sorting cards..so many..some crappy lol.
Happy day everyone..thinking of you all

HI Jayne! The wedding was for daughter of my best friend from high school. I love her family and her siblings came from all over the country...8 of them! They were such a fun family to hang out with when I was a teenager...my parents were very strict...so I loved going to her home!
Shelly, sounds like a great week. I still haven't gotten to see my GD. She will be one in July.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

My niece is visiting from Wisconsin. I think she'll be leaving tonight. She bought me the cutest little note card. It has a hummingbird on it and made with tiny quilling. She said she bought it at some shop where people sell stuff they make. I'm glad she came in because it may be the last she gets to see her pap. She lived with them during her high school years. She is some kind of social worker, not exactly sure, but she's had to remove children from homes at times.
Kathy, how nice that your niece was able to come see your dad. You'll have to post a photo of the card. Where does she live in Wisconsin? Enjoy her visit.

Humidity is down, still hot. A few miles from me still in Menomonee Falls, they've had some downpours, here, just a few drops. Lots of small pop up showers. So dry. I'm heading north on Wednesday, I'll probably jump into the lake fully clothed. I went to the post office to get a package weighed, it felt so good in there, I asked if they were hiring. I didn't want to leave.
Sounds like a lovely wedding, Gracie. My daughter went to one yesterday too. A colleague. Outdoors, at least they didn't have to worry about rain.
So sad to have to wait to see new babies. I would be a basket case if it was me.
Jan, how lovely you got a card from some in the group.
Catherine, hope your daughter has a blast this afternoon.
I'm feeling better and really believe it was the new medicine Doctor had me start taking that got me sick! Allergic reaction of sore throat and tiredness, doctor however doesn't think it was that! If only they would listen to what their patient was telling them!
It's warm here already and son is cleaning the pool so grandkids may swim today!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! Hugs to all!
Good morning! (It is still morning for a few minutes here anyway.) Yes, DD2's escape room adventure with her friends is this afternoon. She is concerned they won't be able to beat the room but one good friend told her not to worry about it, it is about the experience. I hope they have fun. DH and I won't be in the room with them, it will just be them. While she and her friends are having fun, poor DD1 is working a long shift on Sunday. She really doesn't like working Sundays. It seems that people have fewer brain cells when ordering their Starbucks on Sundays.
It was so neat yesterday when I went to the mailbox. All the mail in the box was actually personal mail - no junk - and it was all for DD2 to celebrate her graduation. She has been surprised by how many people have given her cards or cards and money since she opted to not have an open house celebration. I love how people are loving on my girlie.
I asked you all to not send that heat out our way...but it is coming this week and it is going to be nasty hot! Even triple digits up here where we live. Yuck!
Jayne, I'm glad you heard from Kandie and that the procedure went well.
That card is so pretty, Kathy. I'm glad your niece was able to visit.
Ann, so glad you are feeling better. Yes, it is frustrating when doctors don't listen. This is one of the reasons I've been concerned about patients isolated in hospitals all this time without a family member in there to be their patient advocate. I know how necessary it is.
I got up this morning to find that our water was off. That doesn't work with my laundry schedule! And our electricity is more expensive from 4 - 9 pm so I try to avoid running those machines during that time. After searching our water company's website, I called their emergency number to find out that they were repairing a leak. She estimated the water would be off for another 2 hours or so. Thankfully, it didn't take that long so laundry is under way.
Well, not feeling very motivated but I must get things going. We have fun to prepare for!
Forgot to mention, Catherine, that I hear you about the flute sliding around if it's hot. Been there, had to deal with that. Playing outside is not fun.

Ann, we had the same situation with the speech therapist. She wanted dad to drink three boosts a day and mom told her that it gives them diarrhea. The lady says she doesn't think it's the boost that does that. She's never heard of that before. But funny every time mom drinks one or dad drinks one they get diarrhea! They are fine when they don't drink it. You tell me. I say its the Boost.
My nieces and a few others were doing an escape room today. I would love to do one. You know me and my detective skills! They invited DS2 but he had plans target shooting at the cabin with two friends.

Thank you Melody! I did what you said. Hopefully that works.

Friend graduation party is done. DD2 and friends had a great time at the escape room. They didn't quite beat the room but came very close. They did have a lot of fun. Then we went to our church (it was very close by) and had refreshments and played games etc. A successful and fun party. Next weekend - when we are dying in a heat wave - will be the family party. I'm thankful that, for now, it is cool.
I guess I'd better get busy making more thank you cards for DD2.
Hi all! I'm behind in catching up - my husband was in the hospital for almost a week. He had a severe asthma attack and went to the ER - it was SO scary. We are back home now and I really need to decompress! My teeange son had just gone to the ER for stitches the day before and I'm telling everyone that June is officially full with any more mishaps!
We had a storm come through here about 3:30 and messed up cable for a while. We could hear it but the picture was snowy. I held off calling the cable company because as some of you may remember I had such a big ordeal last time and they in the end just said there was an outage in our area. I'm glad I waited because it just came back on and I didn't have to make a frustrating call.

Morning, it’s very hot here, we got attacked by a seagull the other day, three times it dive bombed us, we thought at first it was after Steve’s straw hat, he had to take it off and wave his arms in the air as it came so close I could have touched it, it was scary but funny afterwards, a man was trying to tell us something, in between laughing so we are now thinking it does it all the time, the third time we were trying to cross the road, we must have looked demented waving our arms about whilst ducking! loL
ive finally made my first card, I haven’t had time to post it yet, I’m not doing them in order just doing them if I get a spark of an idea, I have a Bokeh and a another one half done, you know you start off well and the idea fizzles out!
Jan magpies always swoop here in Spring. Just wear sunnies as they can peck out your eyes..or do a number 2 on you lol. Apparently it’s good luck so I was once told..if it’s a seagull…lol.
