Welcome to a brand new year and to my first sketch as hostess for this challenge! The sketch is based on a 12" x 12" scrapbook page, but feel free to flip, resize, alter, or do whatever you need to make it work for you!!! Minor tweaks are expected, but if you feel a major overhaul is needed, you might browse through some of the older sketches for inspiration. There is no time limit for sketch challenges, so use them at your leisure!
If you play along, please share your hard work with us and upload to your gallery! Make sure you add Sketch15Jan1 to your keywords (additional keywords are OK, just separate them with commas), and PLEASE post a link here in this thread; we would NOT want to miss it!
Congratulations on becoming the Sketch Challenge facilitator! What a great way to kick start the year! Thanks for the inspiration...will definitely see what I can do!

Yippee! New sketches. Thanks so much! When are the new sketches scheduled to be posted?
Looks like a nice one. I'll have to see if I have any pages with only 3 photos so I can play along!
Trish, the sketches will be posted the first and third Fridays of the month. I'm going to try to alternate single and double page sketches so I provide inspiration to those who do single page verses double page layouts. Check back later today for my sample; I'm making a double page layout and changing things up a bit using the sketch!

Yeah, I'm excited! I'll try to play along! Sounds fun to alternate between single page and double page layouts - great idea!

Yeah!!! What a way to start the year! I love sketches and can't wait to do this tomorrow. Thanks Cheryl for volunteering -- I always love your sketches, you are the perfect person for this!
Finally got my layout done! Loved the challenge, Cheryl
It's amazing how you can lose sight of what you're doing. I did the left page...no problem. When I did the right page, I only had 1 portrait photo but decided to use a quote with the movie ticket on one photo mat & the journaling on the other. Get the right page all done, step back, look it over & WHAT WAS I THINKING. I had placed the portrait photo on the bottom right. It didn't look good at all SO I literally tore/cut it apart (ruining some of the papers) & re-did the layout. I do have some cardstock over cardstock but now I'm happy & that's what matters...LOL!!
