For the past two weeks, I have not received any email notifications for threads I'm "instant notification" subscribed to, even though I know there have been replies. :confused:

Last week, I had the following message on the homepage when I signed in:

"We're having trouble sending email to your current address. Would you help us out? To begin receiving Splitcoast email again click here to access your profile and update your email address."

I checked my email address and it was correct. Up until now, I had made no changes to any of my settings in the past three months or more.

Was the We're having trouble sending email to your current address ... message legitimate and generated by SCS, or has my computer possibly been hacked? I have been having no other troubles receiving emails other than from SCS.

I have emailed TechSupport and PM'd all Moderators for this Forum (except for Camsmom because it wouldn't go through), but have had NO replies.

Is anyone out there who can help me figure out what is going on, or provide me with any information? Is this a widespread problem, or just me?

Even if you don't have an answer for me, someone please just acknowledge that you're aware of the problem.

Hi Sue,
I'm so sorry that you didn't get a response. I thought one of the other mods was in communication with you.

The message that you saw at the top of the screen was generated by SCS because the messages sent to you are bouncing back. We've had problems with sending to AOL before and that is likely the source of the problem.

Have you made any changes to AOL - updates or such?

Strange as it is ... I actually received an email notification that you had replied to my thread. Go figure. :confused: I have since received one or two other email notifications for other threads as well.

We have not made any changes to our AOL account in the past six months, other than to delete a few screen names my kids were no longer using.

Maybe the problem has fixed itself. I guess I'll wait and see.

I'm sorry to have sounded in a panic in my original message, however I was really getting concerned that my computer may have been hacked.
