What's Daven going to do? What about everybody else?
Everyone involved in taking care of Splitcoast will still be here, doing what they've always done. I'm not being allowed to leave either.

So, basically nothing changes for us, right? for sure, right? LOL! If thats so, congrats, I think? It has to be awesome to watch something grow into something that is desirable to another! I'm still fairly new to SCS, and have loved every minute.

Stupid question probably, but, still have the fan club right?

So will we still see your smiling - okay, well, not so smiling in this picture - face around?

Wow, you mean I'm the first???? What a decision you must have had to make to finally decide the was the best for you and the "community". I know you wouldn't sell us short. I really look forward to seeing what the new company has in store for us. Thanks for sharing your good news.

Daven, thanks for everything you've poured into this site over the years. It has come across to me that SCS is your baby and you want nothing but the best for us. I hope this new change will enable you to relax and enjoy a little.

I love, love, love the SCS site! I am on here morning, noon and night and always find something interesting on here whether it be in stamping, scrapping, or just plain chit chat. Thank you so much, and best wishes on this new venture!

This place (yeah, in my mind it IS a "place"), and the friends I've made here have been such a huge part of my life over the last couple of years. Thanks to everyone who helps make this place what it is. I trust that we are in good hands and I'm happy to hear that the familiar and friendly faces will still be here.

Good luck on this new phase, I'll be interested to see how it all works out. Splitcoaststampers grew because there were few advertisements, the gallery was full of inspiration and it was free! If that changes, I'm afraid the growth will dramatically slow down and eventually have to shut down.

I think it's both exciting and scary . . . exciting for Daven & Tracy, but I think it's kind of scary for us. It could be really, really good though, so I'm going to think positive!

Congratulations on the acquisition!! That says a LOT for what you guys have created here on SCS!! You should be proud!

If you are feeling good about this, then I have to trust there is a reason for that and therefore need to trust you when you say SCS will stay basically the same.

As an side, you may want to mention to the new owners that when you upset the women on SCS it can get nasty - LOL :D

Please keep us posted on what's new or going to be new so we know the lines of communication are still open and we can still be a big happy family. It's a a scary step in one sense and a very exciting one on the other hand. Looking forward to seeing where things go.

The only thing I got out of the announcement was "more ads"...not real happy about that.

I'm taking a "wait and see" approach...to see what happens.

Will the look of the site change? To a format that they are using or will it stay the same? (I looked through a few of the others and they are hard to navigate through) How will this affect the member companies? Now, that's all my questions so I will sit back, relax, and embrace change!

But I am sad too.

I am very happy for you. Are the forums going to stay the same? Are the challenges going to be posted by the same peps? When we have problems who is going to handle it? I hope it will be handled by someone who is familar with the site. I think that is it for me for now. I'm hopeful that it will be a smooth transition.

I checked out a couple of the other sites and, unfortunately, it seems as though there may be a lot more ads. The sites seemed reasonable to maneuver through, though! I am sure it will take SOME getting used to, but I am sure it will be a positive thing!

I also have questions about the fan club memberships. Mine just expired two weeks ago (right before I went out of town!) and I was going to renew this coming week. How soon are procedures for Fan club membership changing?

Seriously, you guys really deserve this. This site has given me incredible inspiration, enormous encouragement, and fantastic friends. I *can't* live without SCS. I hope this makes your jobs and lives better.

I just hope that we don't lose the 'personal' part of our lives on SCS - ie, the fact that we can shoot a PM to someone we SEE on here to have problems addressed or resolved. That is part of the charm of this community.

Again, thanks for all you have done to make SCS what it is.

I don't mind a couple more ads here and there, but I really hope the format and the faces stay the same. Splitcoast works because it's about people, and that's what makes it profitable. Take out the people, and say good bye to profit. I was considering joining the fan club...I'll wait a while now and see how things go.

Do you get to retire Daven?

I hope it only gets better. I have made lots of friends through this site. Some I have only met online and others in person at the Michigan Mingles. I hope we can all stay and continue to make friends and learn new things.

Wow, this is really exciting news and I'm curious to see how this will change in the future. I really hope we don't lose the friendly, personal feeling of SCS.

I have checked out other sites that namemedia owns, and I'm not impressed with all the ads.

I hope SCS stays the way it is and doesn't follow that same format. It's horrible!

The other sites that namemedia owns seem full of info etc for people who are interested in those topics, but I really really REALLY don't like the format. Hopefully they'll stick to 'helping SCS continue on the path they've begun' and NOT take it in another direction.
