Welcome To Teapot Tuesday
the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #296
The Courage of One
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: Courage is sometimes an elusive thing. Many cultures have assigned animals such as dragons, lions, and eagles as representatives of courage and strength. Flowers have been assigned meanings and properties meant to inspire strength in others such as the white carnation, the cactus, and the snapdragon. Songs have been written for generations about courage of all kinds. And of course the cowardly lion could tell us a thing or two about needing to find some courage. But it remains an elusive thing for most of us until we are called upon to face the tough decisions that always seem to come along with that thing called life.
2: The Bible is full of verses about courage and strength and where we can find the strength needed in life. And in those verses is where Kathleen finds the faith to face life with a beautiful spirit and encouraging ways. It has been there that she has found solace, hope, and joy in the Lord. And it is there that she will find encouragement for the next and biggest battle.
3: No silly story this week, none could do justice to her wonderful spirit, and the love we want her to feel pouring out to her from all around. Kathleen we want you to know that all in Teapotterville are on your side. We got your back GF!!
Challenge Translation:
Bring cards with encouraging scripture and verse, something to cheer and to uplift, words to inspire and to support.
EPEC=extra points for extra credit:
Adding any of the animal or flower representatives of courage will get you lots of extra cookies.
Destination Station:
This week our cards are going to Harvest AL to one of our own. If you want a destination for your cards, how about sending them to Kathleen (aka Kathleen Lammie)
For the reason why and an address to mail it to, go to post #400 in Destination Station.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT296 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given Sheri (KSNurse) permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send her a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.
Thanks so much for the early post here, Sheri. I'll be on to this when I get home from work today. So sad that it's needed, but I'm sure Kathleen will feel encouraged and supported by this
Sorry - still struggling with our time change this weekend, and didn't realise I'd replied to this in staging. But it shouldn't show if you only move your 1st post

Here's mine...with more prayers, especially since we have a friend here who needs a lung transplant too :(, so I'll be remembering them both.
oh, my card is going in the mail this morning and will be praying
Godspeed to our friend and sister, Kathleen. I know she is has
delicious sense of humor and so that is the direction I took!
Hope Kathleen has a BIG mailbox and the mailman a STRONG truck for all the cards that are going to be coming Kathleen's way! Mine is in the box now for the my mailman. May her faith, family and friends see her through this tribulation successfully.
I had no idea our own sweet Kathleen bravely battles this disease. Hopefully our cards and prayers will bring her some comfort. HERE is my Guardian Angels.

You ALL are so amazing !!! Thank you for rallying the troops to lift me up in my time of need! The tears just started rolling as I read each post here...I might need a full box of tissues to go thru this very special gallery!
I feel so blessed to be a part of this incredible group, it is an honor! Thank you so much for each and every kind word, encouragement and of course, your wonderful creations!!! I will get to each one...just know things are taking a little longer for me these days. But I am still so grateful for ALL I do have!
There is one thing I would like to ask of you. If you would please speak with one persone about Organ Donation it would mean so much to me! I know it is not the easiest of subjects. But you never know how one little talk can change things in such a big way.
Sending a big hug to each of you dear sweet friends!!! Thank you !!!!

I am just squeaking in the back door. It is 11:00 pm here so I am still on time. When I was uploading my card I must have accidentally touched the enter key so my card uploaded with no information. I have corrected that but it may take a while to show up.
Here is my card:
Praying for you, my sweet Friend, as we trust in the Father's all embracing Love!!

I can't always join in the challenges, but wild horses would not have kept me from making and sending a card to dearest Kathleen. God Bless you precious friend.
Oh, Kathleen, what a blessing you continue to be to so many on SCS, and we are praying for you as you await a new lung! Yes, we need to remind people about donating organs. It's such an important thing. Sending you a card that I made recently that I trust will encourage you with its Scripture veers from the Psalms! Warm and tender hugs, and I'll be praying for you, sweet and dear friend! (I just LOVE the SCS community and how we can share our joys and sorrows with each other and lift each other up in so many ways!)
Woohoo we have hit half a century....50 cards are on their way to our wonderful friend, Miss Kathleen Lammie from Alabama. I think it will be fair to say that Kathleen will surly know by now how much her friendship and kindness means to us. xx
