Maybe the blade had a small piece of paper stuck and that's why it wouldn't cut well. Also you can't have a mat too sticky or too "unsticky" if that makes sense. Using the premium blade helps too. ...

I also put all my brushos in small bottles. Bought on eBay. Very easy to sprinkle. But sadly - I have not used my brushos much. This thread reminds me to get them out and use them!

These plastic putty spatula / applicators are in the hardware section. About $1-$3

There is a Separate thread about the faber castell pencils. But in summary - YES YES YES. The faber castell polychromas pencils are so creamy and wonderful to color with. Totally worth every penny
