When DS had a Hot Wheels birthday, I found a car candy mold and made crayons for the kids. That went over very well. (And is a great use for all those broken, half-used crayons.)

I don't think I saw it mentioned, but it's also much faster if you need to stamp multiple images. I can use a larger mount and place two+ stamps on it and all my stamping is done and looks the same.
