No it doesn't make a difference the only thing I have noticed if they are a preferred stamp partner then usually on their packaging somewhere they would have compatible with Spellbinders die template...

It is not that they are "not approved" it just means that Spellbinders has a preferred stamp partnership with a limited amount of stamp companies. Isn't the Angel Company an in home party...

Are you having any other issue using other Spellbinder Dies in your Cuttlebug? I would not shim too many pieces of cardstock as it might break your B plate. It is just one specific die...
