I have heard poor long term reviews of Heat and Stick powder as well. :( I have several kinds of glittery embossing powder that I like to use. Judi♥kins has a "White Diamond" that I adore.

I've used Copics on embossing with mixed results. Some colors/types will bleed or become discolored. The Copics can take color away from some embossing!

I've had good luck with Prima and Want2Scrap gems and pearls. They have adhesive backing. I also really like to get packages of loose gems that are flat backed. I use them with the Mini Adhesive...

FWIW, cards don't have to be totally flat to go through regular mail. I use foam adhesive all the time without any problems.

I suggest Zip Dry as well! It's a liquid, so no worrying about humidity affect it. It is super fast drying and doesn't wrinkle or warp your papers like most liquids do.

The preservative sprays don't necessarily stop yellowing or degrading. Newsprint is not meant to last forever and neutralizing the acid will not make it into archival quality paper - it will still...
