I buy the notebooks that have the plastic covers...

I buy the notebooks that have the plastic covers on them and then save the plastic covers to make a stencil from. Also, hard plastic shell packaging makes great stencils and shrinky dinks!!!

It has held pretty well for about five years on one gift box and I have smaller boxes we made as Christmas ornaments ten years ago. I used the scotch atg tape on those.

I used the Scotch Gold ATG tape and made some over ten years ago that are still holding up. I made some small boxes that way that we used for Christmas tree ornaments and they go in the ornament box...

I usually just use transparency sheets from Office Depot or Staples for acetate sheets. The Cricut cuts them very well. and they are a lot cheaper than acetate sheets bought in the craft stores. ...
