The spots are great if you want all the colors in the "color family" because they are so much cheaper. I would eventually get the large pads, but to start with a full set of colors would be awesome....

I cannot imagine breaking up a set. When I am done with it, I will usually trade or sell it (retired) and I don't think you would get as much as if it were the original...
