Scrappin' Challenge 2019Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2019 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc19may"

I am here for May with 15 layouts.
I might as well keep going with 15 each month, maybe one one of these months I will make it!!
Looks like I did something like 14 pages for April.
Ladies thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement this month. I finished my 7th birth story. It was a hard story to tell, but it was really good for my husband and I as we talked about our different memories of the event. We really have come so far as a couple and a family. Because it was such a heavy and happy subject I kept putting it aside and doing some kits that I had purchased at a scrapbook expo. In the end I ended up with a lot of pages complete for April. I can't thank you enough for all the kind words and helpful things you guys posted on this board for me. I uploaded a lot of my layouts, but since there are too many to link I will just put a few and if you want to scroll the gallery you can. Thanks again.
I completed 10 layouts in April, so that puts me at 39 YTD. Please put me down for 10 more in May, although I already informed my hubby I will be scrapping my brains out on Saturday, so I might go over that goal!
I’m back....have been deep in washing and cleaning. Poppet day tomorrow..yay.
Hugs to you all and will be back when I get my act together.

I was able to play along with three of the challenges for National Scrapbook Day. Fun but now I'm wiped out! Going to veg in front of the t.v. for a while, then we're making S'mores over the fire pit in the back yard. Did anyone else have some scrappy fun today?
Welcome back! Can’t wait to see some pages of Japan! And guess what? Just got your postcard today! Thank you! So glad you are back!
Thanks Sharon and glad the card arrived.

Happy Monday everyone. Lela, I also hope that your mojo comes back. I have had to revisit my goals today including craft goals.
For May I am going to put myself down for 8 pages and 1 card min./week.
I need to do more creating than chatting on this site LOL. I bought lots of goodies in Japan and need to use them as well as get rid of things I've never used or will use.
I went to my craft group today and made a beautiful fold card but boy it took a while.
Happy scrapping everyone and hugs

Will make May goal at 10 bc this month is always one of our busiest.
My youngest is graduating from college in 2 weeks. So these little blonde boys you see in my pages are now both launching into adulthood full time. Well.. Except for the fact he is going to move home for awhile. He will be traveling with his job quite a bit and so we all decided it makes the most sense this way until he figures out what city makes the most sense to call home base. Maybe he will run into Lela in the airport? Ha!
Happy Tuesday....I’ve posted some photos of Japan on the photography thread and elsewhere if anyone is interested. Here’s one of me and hubby underneath the Sakura lol

Thanks ladies. I will scrap this one. It was taken in Matsumoto where there were thousands of trees in bloom. Here’s one of the castle. I even bought paper and stickers with blossoms on them to use.
Here’s some more from various places.....I took thousands of photos lol

I love them all! That one with the people with umbrellas is neat , too! Can’t wait to see how you scrap them! 1000 photos? Talk about being over whelmed! I bet you will be when you try to decide which to scrap!
well, I made it back home...probably a few pounds heavier, hopefully I didn't gain as much weight as my suitcases did Thank goodness for Southwest 2 Bags "free" policy
I needed tonight to recoup but tomorrow I hope to get some pages uploaded that I did finish and some other things done. I'm off for the weekend to Michigan.
I have a *MAJOR* Story to tell all of you ... It's so crazy, special, exciting, wonderful, awesome, overwhelming... etc
Here goes, my youngest DS got my hubby and I 23andMe kits for Christmas. He wanted to know "where we were from". What none of us realized was that it would also tell you family names of others who had taken the test. I was adopted as a baby. I've known my whole life. When I tried before to get info, the State said all adoptions in MI prior to 1970 were sealed so I've not ever known any info.
WELL, to make a long but fun story short, I've found both my Birth Mother and Father families!! Both my birth Parents are deceased but it's been amazing and wonderful to meet my dad's family. I'm going up to Michigan this weekend to meet my (2) Sisters (half, we all have diff dad's)
So, I have LOTS of stories to tell with this one. I told DH I might have to "retire" just to finish all the pages I want to create. I'm going to just have to buckle down and get busy scrappin' for the next 3 weeks of May
My Summer is already looking jam packed with several trips both personal and work so it feels crazy busy already.
I LOVE Scrapbooking! So happy to be capturing great memories Feeling Blessed

Sharon just over 2500 photos lol. I take so many. There’s some beauties though and I also love the blossoms under the tree.
Thanks for looking. Happy day

Lela, how exciting to connect with birth family after all this time. Your weekend sounds like it will hold more pictures with stories to go with them!!
Jayne what lovely photos!!! it will be hard to pick only a few to scrap, like a 1000 from the 2500, or just do pocket pages with lots of pictures!!! They are all beautiful!!
Finally getting my craft journal up to date with challenges.
My goal for May is 8. My YTD is 10.
It's been a funny week with not being well but I'm coming out the other side. It's Mothers Day here this Sunday but all sons are either working away or overseas so I will just see the poppets briefly and then do what we always do on a Sunday...play golf LOL. Is it Mothers Day your end too?
Happy scrapping. Time for me to find out what I'm supposed to be doing this month.

Lela, so cool to hear your adoption story, and I'm really happy for you that the meeting with your birth siblings went well! Praying this weekend goes well, too. You are such a busy lady, I'm amazed you ever find time to check in here, much less post cool challenges and get so much scrapping done!
Wow, Cheryl...awesome news. Congratulations on being FS. Enjoy your week jx

What a fun honor to be the Featured Scrapper! I just started checking out some of the ways people are scraplifting me but creating cards instead, and they are so amazingly creative.
I added a couple more layouts to my gallery for your viewing pleasure, and I was able to complete all the challenges for (i)NSD VSBN. Woohoo! SInce I was feeling overwhelmed and didn't play along with March Madness, it felt good to participate this time. Anyone else gonna play?
Congrats to Cheryl on being the Featured Scrapper!! How fun!
I have not participated in this site for NSD, both sites I am on have tons of challenges going and I am overwhelmed with keeping up. I have done 10 layouts this month and need to take a look at what the challenges are again to see how to incorporate them into the last layouts to try and meet my goal this month.
