Scrappin' Challenge 2022 Can you believe this is our 14th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?!
We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2020 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2021! Let's keep scrappin'. It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2022! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops... What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process!
Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. *In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us. You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE?Come and Play in the 2022 Scrapbook Challenge!
Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends! We'd love to "oohh" and "ahh" so please use Key Word sbc22may

Sharing the Scrappin' Love in February! This is where we'll keep track of our Monthly "goal" - if you have one - and track YTD pages. It's always a great time to keep count and see what we've accomplished by year end!
This year we'll be doing a new Challenge Called Sketches and Scraplifts. This is a great way to get inspiration, get pages done AND try new ideas! Each month we'll have a Scraplift Challenge and a Sketch Challenge ....]
(((( coming soon ))))

Hey ladies! I've updated my signature to show my May goal of 25. I exceeded my 2022 goal in April, thanks to determination to get ALL of Disney scrapped, haha, but I'm still going to set monthly goals to keep myself going. But with the end of school, and an unexpected weekend I'll be taking care of my great-aunt, I've lowered May from what I achieved in March and April.
Side note... In May of 2020 I managed to get 66 pages done, trying to get my son's high school memories scrapped. May of 2021 I did a whole 6x8 book. And then on fb the other day a memory popped up that I had done 20 pages in a weekend. So maybe springtime is my "crazy burst of scrapping" season? haha! Whatever it is, I will take it!!
I hope you all are well!

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
I am just going to start with May and keep track of my YTD. I did a crop in January and got a lot done. I made a book for my mother's bday in April and I have that baby gift book done. I did some pages Sunday with leftover bits from a CTMH workshop. I will post those soon. Do others make blank pages to add pictures later?

I do not.
One year I made a few blank pages, just backgrounds, more or less, with the idea that having a nice base would speed things along. I probably made less than 10 and I think I used 2 or 3 only. When the challenge was posted, or when I picked the photos, the backgrounds didn't fit. I don't do that any more.
With the upcoming NSD coming up on ACOT this Friday I decided to see if picking some photos and then selecting papers in advance that would possible go, depending on the challenge requirements. Haven't done this before, I'll see if it actually helped. To the papers I picked out, all patterned, it will be easy to go pull whatever solids I'll need, so I didn't pull them yet not knowing the direction of the challenge, nor the direction I'll take when I actually start the layout. Maybe I could think in advance of a title and cut it on Cricut, but sometimes the challenge dictates that choice.

Most of the time, I get 3-10 pages done in a month. I'm trying to scrap ALL of Disney because my husband appears to go every 20ish years, haha, and I've only been the last two times, hahaha! So if it really is a once in a lifetime event, and because we tried hard to "100% the parks" in five jam-packed days, I really want to get it all recorded. All of it- current prices, what we thought about each thing, all of it. So we're doing a lot of frozen dinner options, and I'm slacking on other things to get this done. My youngest is in preschool just another couple weeks, lol, and thank goodness her friend next door prefers to play at his house, giving me a bit of "extra" time to work on this. But this is not normal for me, at all. This is a huge exception. And, a lot of these pages are really simple. Just photos and story.
I got four more Disney pages done today, but I'm only uploading three, lol. One really is just photos and typed journaling.
Thanks for your answer Joyce. I do use the pages, I have to use them soon because the bin I store them in is full! I like to have pages partially done and ready to go. Let me know if it works out for you this weekend!
Tanya,
I go to Disney too often if you ask the people around me! The book I made for my mother was for a Christmas trip a few years ago. SHe and I just went to Disneyland in California in December. My husband and I went (without kids) January 2021. And we just went (again on kids) im March for a wedding. I have so much Disney stuff!!

I used to go to CKC so between classes & buying kits I have a lot! I've put together a good number of them & haven't used most because I never seem to have the right photos to go with them or to many photos. I've discovered CTMH Flip Flaps so that may help me use them. I need to make a list of what I have so I don't have to flip through all the layouts only to decided nothing fits...LOL. I also went to a Scrapbook Shoebox event many years ago. It was limited to 12 attendees & everyone made 12X12 kits for a specific month or event during that month. It was a lot of fun & I have used several of them but not all.
First LO for May done. Maybe I stay on this track.

Welcome Amy!
To join us, just upload any scrapbook pages you make this month with the keyword listed at the top of the month's thread, so in this case "sbc22may". Some of us set a monthly or annual goal, some of us just share when we get to make something, and sometimes it depends on what's going on that month. ;)

Started a scrapbook style journal for myself about being a foster dog mom. I uploaded only the dog pic pages. This is what I have been up to lately, am going to go pick up my next foster (#5) today. I only foster one at a time, so I have been super blessed with how quickly they have each gotten adopted. So far the shortest stay was 4 days and the longest 1 month. This new purpose is helping me adjust to my boys moving away.
I can’t believe I am on a roll for the first time in forever! One more page done!

I haven’t felt like doing any scrapping for months but last weekend suddenly got the urge, I’ve just about finished my scrapbook about our trip to Disney and Universal Studios, four years ago!

I say "Don't stress over the time laps, ladies!" At least you ARE getting the memories documented. We've got to take a breath and pat ourselves on the back for that accomplishment.
I jump around all the time, always have. I am mostly in 2019-thru the present, but not ashamed to go back a year or two from that. My DGD sends me photos on the phone all the tome of my precious great grands and I have to make a page or two right then.
In the 2019 and 2020 time frame I am still working on my Japan trip, so I can relate, I have been putting all the Japan layouts in an Iris case, not in an album yet.
Glad to hear everyone is staying inspired!

I have a smash book that I’ve been using for the GSs in SF, now I have some pages to go back to and finish the book for them, eventually, I did finally finish the photo album for our youngest GS, I started wanting to do just his first year, one page per month but after two months fell behind so I eventually finished it going up to his third birthday, he’s just turned six so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Last page of May uploaded, today is my Bday so I am off to a long weekend of cele-soccer in VA, maybe I see Johnny Depp! Just kidding!!! Have a blessed Memorial Day Weekend !put me down please for 4 pages in June.
