Scrappin' Challenge 2022 Can you believe this is our 14th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2021 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2022! Let's keep scrappin'. It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2022! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops... What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process!
Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of us who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. *In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us. You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages.... you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2022 Scrapbook Challenge!
Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends! We'd love to "oohh" and "ahh" so please use Key Word SBC22JUL
This is where we'll keep track of our Monthly "goal" - if you have one - and track YTD pages. It's always a great time to keep count and see what we've accomplished by year end!

Leftover Challenge from June: (from Amy aka Shirley’s Girl) Scraplift Lela aka LMN here is her gallery: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I made 10 layouts in June. This brings my year to date total to 89.
I did a lot of quilting and sewing during June, so didn't make pages much.
I will set a goal of 10 for July because I have no idea how this month will play out for me yet.

Joyce Ann & I talked to Lela last night. She still needs our prayers. She has had health issues for the past 8 months and has been in and out of the hospital several times. I think she is on the mend but is fighting tail end of Covid, and is hoping it doesn’t turn into pneumonia, so keep praying. Anyway we told her we are holding down the fort. So on that note, let’s get our July gallery started with some layouts!
Yes, this was wonderful news that Lela is hanging it there. So wonderful to have talked with her finally.
And, yes, Sharon, let us get those layouts going for July!
Keep the prayers going to our heavenly Father for Lela!
I am trying to make a little 3" square book for my precious great grand - previously known as "Tiny Tot". Then I will get busy scrapping.

Prayers for Lela! I am so relieved that you all touched base and that she is on the mend. My youngest tested positive for Covid. He Is the first in our house. He is just about done quarantine.
Joyce Ann, thanks for the compliments. I can’t wait to give this gift.
I reached my June goal by finishing her book and refinishing the Italy book! I also made a bunch of layouts with kits I have had for years. I have been cleaning and organizing. If I am not going to use something, I’m forcing myself to get rid of it.
I started working on pages for our 2016 trip to Las Vegas today. it won’t be a huge book, but I made a few layouts today. This makes me happy.
I also bought myself a Wi-Fi selphy printer so I can print pictures quickly. I had an old one, but it wasn’t easy without Wi-Fi. I’m glad I got this one.

I'm glad you were able to contact Lela. I hope she continues to improve!! I hope you're all doing well!
In June I did 16/15 pages. I do have a busy month coming but I also need the scrappy therapy, lol, so I'm hoping to get at least 12 more pages done in July.
I did get a layout done CASE'ing Lela, but I haven't printed the journaling, so I haven't posted it yet. I did count it in my June total.

I am so happy to hear you & Joyce Ann were able to touch base with Lela! I'm sending her good vibes & prayers for a speedy recovery. Looking forward to her returning to our group.
Tanya's comment gave me an idea for a challenge this month...why don't we scrap lift Lela?
I didn't get anything done this month, just to much going on. I'll leave my goal at 8 & since half the year is gone, I'm going to try to make up my deficit...wish me luck!
Lou Ann, one of our June Challenges was to Scraplift Lela. Maybe we will just carry it over to July. For the ones of us that didn’t ge a layout done for it.

Welcome back from the holiday weekend! Hope all are well and fired up to make some scrappy pages.
I amazed myself and finished 2 layouts yesterday! Here is the second page I made. It is some older photos from 2020. It's simple, followed a Becky Fleck sketch. A Beautiful Life by AnniePanda at Splitcoaststampers

Good morning! Joyce Ann, you were very productive! Lovely pages , too. I need to do some more scrapping this week, before the month gets too busy. This is my free week! LOL
I met my July goal! I spent every free minute over the weekend scrapping. It wasn’t easy! Our town does a huge 4th celebration. It started Thursday and ended Sunday. Groups in town have booths as fundraisers. We are involved with two groups having booths. It was so much work and so much fun. We actually just finished taking down the 2nd booth tonight.
We went to Vegas in 2016. My husband has a conference. My mother and I tagged along. It just so happens we were there for our 25th anniversary.
I set my June goal really low but still didn't make it - only completed 3 layouts. Guess I underestimated what a crazy month it was going to be. Oh well, trying to make up for it this month by setting a goal of 10. My YTD is 45.
It has been a slow scrapping couple of months, with more cards made than scrap layouts. I have also not been keeping up with my tally for the year since April. I will have to update that amount with May and June pages.
July is starting off with 7 cards done then two scrap pages completed today.
I will go with 10 pages for July.
it looks as tho there has been plenty of scrapping going on over the long holiday weekend
I hope to finish up the little 3x3 book for my greatgrand's birthday. Her birthday is the 28th and I want it in the mail soon - Washington State is a very long ways from Florida!
I worked on adding in the passages for the pages yesterday and today I hope to decide what to embellish the pages with. I printed out the words, cut them and made die cuts to paste them on. I used gel pens (gold shadow, silver, and gold) to outline the edges of the cuts. I'm taking pictures of my progress and plan to make a layout of this book. It will go in the pocket of the little purse I made for her.
And I got word my precious granddaughter will be heading to San Diego, CA the first of Sept. Wish he had been transferred to a ship in Jacksonville!!!

And I have been scrapping when I can this week. I had a friend over and we set up a table outside and worked on putting together kits from whole kit and kaboodle. So fun!

I have a page done! Smokin Butts DR.BBQ by AnniePanda at Splitcoaststampers
I found a whole pack of photos from which I only scrapped one page way back when. They are from Aug. 2019, not that old, but forgotten.
Going to find something in Lela's gallery to scrap next.

Used today’s SC914 sketch for inspiration. It is an easy one to tinker with for a layout launch. Though I didn’t follow it exactly it started out that way. And excited to say that I have a new guy in my life to introduce to you all here. You will be seeing more of him in the future.
Yeah, I got 2 pages done tonight! I came home from camping & went right to my craft room! Cleaned it up from making card kits & put some other things away. Went through my 2021 album & rearranged some pages. Then went through my laptop to see what else I need to print for 2021...did I mention I got a new Cannon printer that will print up to 12x12?? I'm so excited that now I can print my photos at home & have different sizes. I am determined to get one year completed before moving on to another year.
