Just popping in to say Hi! I have gotten a couple pages done so far, but not uploaded.
Will be looking to include the challenges in my upcoming pages. So glad to see so many of you back to chat and crop a bit when you can. I would love to crafty Zoom but I have horrendous wifi and it just doesn't work well enough to participate. But, think it's a great idea for those that can participate.
Yes, Lela , let’s zoom and scrap! I get a lot done when I zoom with my card making friends! I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing and really talking to them, it would be fun to really talk with this group.
YES! Let's do it ... dates/times what works? Do we want to do a Saturday afternoon?

I finally got another layout done yesterday. I did work on my 6x8 album #52WeeksofMe also.
Tonight I have the photos for another page pulled and am finishing some cards. I send cards to Seniors in Care Facilities so I needed 20+ this month. I used up some of the extra kits I had left over from last month Card Class, perfect! But I still have to stamp and put them all together, just not cut.

Happy Friday Scrappy Friends! I'm ready for a Scrap weekend of FUN as it's supposed to be cold and snowy here in Ohio. Let it snow! Groceries ordered and I'm ready with photos selected to get pages done. Here's a layout and coordinating Pocket Page I worked on over the last couple evenings. I'm trying to use some "older" stash and I organized my Pocket cards so I would get them out more often ... great way to add photos!
Another 2 pages almost done but with my limited supplies I'm going to need to visit my local LSS...poor me! LOL! I'll also pick up supplies for the sketch! Hope to have it done before the weekend is over.
Home from my crop with 15 or 16 pages to add to my gallery.
I did not get any photos in the daylight so I will be photo booming my gallery tomorrow.
I used the sketch too!
Question for you ladies... How do you store or where do you keep your 12x12 albums? I'm just getting back into scrapping and have been considered switching to 8 1/2 x 11 or smaller so that they fit on our bookshelves in the family room. But I really enjoy creating full 12 x 12.
Happy Sunday Scrap Sisters, it's been snowing all day here so feels good to be indoors with no where to go and time to get Crafty! I finished 2 layouts, one is missing some photos for the 2nd page but I love it's done and ready when I get them. (The ones I took originally are blurry) Today I finished up Cards for Seniors I send monthly. I even had extra this month from my December Card class so perfect to get them out and mailed on Tuesday ... prior to leaving for my first business trip in a long while.

Hi Adriana, welcome to our scrappy space! I hope whatever size you decide to scrap you'll chat along with us. I'm probably the wrong person to ask about this one as I had my DH build me a shelf to hold my 12x12. We have an extra bedroom so most of the albums are in there on 2 bookshelves. I have been creating albums for my adult kids for some of their events and have made them 6x8 or 6x6 because I realize they have "small" spaces so I get "space" is an issue. I do love scrapping 12x12 so I'm with ya ... it's a dilemma

This is an ongoing problem for me with all my 12x12s. The standard size bookshelves don't work. I would need to have the right size built like Lela's husband did. As of 2021 all my layouts are 8 1/2 x 11". So much easier with this size book! But, like you I like the larger space. Funny this is all my old scrapbooks are this size, before switching to the 12's.
I feel your pain with this dilemma! Glad you are getting back to scrapping!

It started out quiet because we were "snowed in" --- 10 inches of snow last night! I also think some of my clients were closed but by late afternoon, everyone was looking for stuff that was "stuck" in the weather, ahhh! Hope your Monday was good!
Hey Hey Scrappers .... if you have a *favorite* gallery to Scraplift or Sketch you'd like us to use for February, please feel free to send links my way. It seemed like a fun Challenge for this year and I'd be glad to have suggestion

Adriana, I feel your pain. We purchased a home in 2011 on the strength of the built-in bookcases, only to find out they weren't deep enough for my albums! My solution was to buy a Kallax shelving unit from Ikea. The design is great for 12"x12" scrapbooks. Not only is it deep enough, but the shelves are very well supported so you don't have to worry about the supports shearing off like on regular bookcases. I got the one with 16 cubbies and it holds a ton of very thick albums. Hope that helps.
Adriana, I was fortunate enough to recently find two used bookcases on local Marketplace that are 16 inches deep with adjustable height. They work ever well in my living room and the “leftover” albums are in bookcases in the craft room...not quite as deep so the books hang over the edge a little but I don’t have much company in my craft room.
Happy Wednesday! I'm working on Valentines tonight as I want to take them to my niece when I go to see here next week. I'd given her one of those little Target Mailboxes a couple years ago and I always try to fill it with Valentines for her to do a "countdown" to Valentines Day since she home schools. It's super fun!
I spent the morning helping my hubby clean up the mess in our backyard after 65 MPH winds tore through our area last night, but was able to finish up a layout as well (still have to post it in the gallery). Debating on what to scrap next! How about you, Joyce Ann?
Oh my, Cheryl! Sorry about that backyard catastrophe - wonderful no one was hurt. Except maybe an extra tired hubby - lol
I've done lots of layouts and still have one on my desk as of about 3 or 4 days waiting for me to finish. It is a sketch from SketchesinThyme, trying to get motivated to finish with the embellishments.
I'm planning on getting back to it after church and dinner prep tomorrow. Hopefully.
How do you usually start? I usually have some challenge in mind, like a sketch or theme, etc. Then find photos that will work. Once I have the photos I will select papers and colors.
It's 9:30pm here and I need to try to get to bed!
Blessings to you all!

I have 4 more pages done but need to upload them. Two of them are the sketch challenge.
Hopefully I'll have a laptop before the end of the month. It's hard to do on my phone.
Joyce Ann, you ask Cheryl how does she start. I have a difficult time starting, especially since it has been so long. I think I pick the photos first, what I awill be inspired to scrap, then see what the challenges are.
I usually pick out my photos first and then find a sketch (or occasionally a scraplift) that works for them. Then I try to throw in a challenge or two just to get me thinking creatively. HTH!
SOOOO Happy to see you all getting pages done and adding to the gallery. I have taken a detour as late and started art journaling for the first time. Just a fun new play joining in with some of the MMJ challenges Jayne started last year. The January challenge I also did for a scrapbook page, so here is that one. I only have 2 pages done so far, but hope to get some finished this week.
It's great that we all can enjoy our memory keeping our own way! How ever it works out, lets just keep making those pages! Yeah for scrapping the memories!!!

It wasn't fun but I was able to upload 4 pages on my phone! Not looking good for my laptop. I do need to add journaling when I get it back....maybe I'll end up handwriting them.
Today would have been Oliver Angel's 12th birthday, so already not a great day for me, and then my 16 year old told me he threw up during the night and his head really hurts, so this is really not a great day. :( I decided to distract myself with scrapbooking, by leaving some love in the gallery, and by posting some layouts. Hope everyone else is having a better day.
Hugs to you Cheryl and Joyce Ann on these heart tugging days. I pray you both find some peace in your faith, your memories, and your other blessings this week.

I had every intention of spending all afternoon cropping. Instead I opened up my box and realized I had NO pictures left that I had developed. It has been awhile since that has happened for sure. So instead I did some much needed cleaning and organizing my space while I printed some pictures and at least finished the night with one page finished. I did one for the scrap lift challenge and hope to tackle the sketch this week.

I'll be working on my scraplft today but wanted to suggest April 2019 as a gallery with some fun layouts to lift. Not as many as the one you started with, but still quite a few. Or is that too recent?
Tacked on 5 more pages for my Jan total. Today's sketch challenge SC890 makes for a great layout for a page, so check it out. I used it on my last one listed here.
