Hi ladies, sorry I don't pop in and chat as frequently! I have 2 school aged boys and a 9 month old so it's a bit crazy all the time. Crafting is my quiet escape!
Got another page done, it's actually part of a 2 page Lo but the other side is pockets and I might not get it done before the end of the month so decided to post.
Loving the feeling of getting a page done but struggling to get started so this time I went visiting in the gallery from the scraplift challenge which was a great way to see lots of lovely pages.

Had a nice day today...yesterday was such a crappy day and boy was I in a hormonal mood...Mrs Grumpy all day LOL...today much better. We have just got back from brunch with friends near the city...lovely morning and chats about travel. They are off travelling to China/Russia/Scandinavia for 3 months..wow.
I may get time to do some scrapping today. I made a couple of quick cards last night doing the Black Ice Technique...very easy to do but mine didn't come out too flash, but ok.

I must tell you how this page came together. I had spent some time reading on the Get it Scrapped site and felt encouraged to 'just do it'. There was a challenge I went for, which was to use 4 of the 5 items listed. Pure white, 12" stripped border, matted photos, floral embellishment, striped pp. Obviously I didn't do the striped paper.
I started looking for paper to match these photos. I knew I would cut them down, too, so they would all be on a single page.The Graphic 45 caught my eye and I found the shell pattern to go with it. Lavender and purple solids were pulled from scraps. Found the aqua glitter for a border. Then, I cut the photos down and played with arrangements. Seemed like I had a circle going on so I went with that as my base design.
All came together rather quickly today, so unlike me, and I am very happy with myself for going ahead and making this page happen.
For a while now I've been attending daily mass 2 or 3 time a week. I like the start it gives me. Centers me so I stay focused. Also discovered the way to keep that commitment to attending mass going -volunteer to serve! Now, if I think I don't want to get up, I remember I'm serving and just do it - lol.
BTW Roewyn - I don't think anyone here will ever get tired of seeing baby photos, I know I sure don't. I've certainly uploaded more than my share!

Happy Wednesday and Anzac Day here.....lots of ceremonies happening today. Unfortunately we didn't get to the dawn service this year. We've just been listening on the radio that people copped $200 fines from the local Council for parking....what the...when people get up to go to a dawn service you would think they could overlook parking when they know there's going to be triple the people there...it's a disgrace. Things like this make me get on my soap box..sorry.
Joyce Ann love your LO and thank you for inspiration. I'm hoping to scrap today. Good to see you have found your mojo and that you are going ok.
Roewyn agree with Joyce Ann we never tire of baby or any photos......just love to see LOs being created.

So I should totally have been doing housework, but instead I finished off my pocket page! It was Joyce Ann's fault with her just do it encouragement ;)
Quite different to a traditional page but came together so nicely I think it will be fun mixing in pockets and traditional LOs.
Sad Jayne that people got ticketed, there was lots of talk today about how great it is to have big crowds of all ages out at services, they should be encouraging not making $

My phone is still not the way it should be after my son had to factory reset it! Then again my body is just not very happy with me right now. Just need to get some rest

Don't think I'll be doing any scrapping today, need to get some sewing done. Leia has asked for a nightgown for her doll and I still haven't finished the doll dress I started for her. Want to finish up and get them in the mail, along with a lovely lose top for Kara.

It’s gonna be down to the wire for me to hit my goal. I have two left after tonight uploads and have to work tomorrow. Plus finally expecting some dry spring weather to hopefully get a big jump on a major landscaping undertaking we are doing at our house. Maybe I can squeeze some in Sunday evening if I’m not too tired and sore.

I am slack....I made a few cards as you will see and have the photos out on my craft table but I just can't seem to think what I am going to do. This week is probably out for me now unless I find some free time between personal appointments and chores here.
Youngest boy arrives home at lunchtime Wednesday...whoop, whoop....life as we know it around here is going to change.....we have been so used to just the 2 of us living here and we all will have to adjust again but it will be good to have him home safely.

Hi everyone. Not much scrapping for me again this month, but every time I think I'm going to just give up this hobby I get a tiny bit of inspiration that keeps me going. Well, that plus the thousands of dollars I have invested in it that my husband would freak out if I gave away - LOL! I'm going to a baby shower today so I made a card, and since I actually enjoyed the process, I think I'll try scrapping this afternoon. Going to switch gears from London photos to everyday events and hope that gets some results. Wish me luck.

wow, I can't believe it's the end of April already! This month has flown by, of course, I've only been home just a few days of it ... I'm looking forward to arriving HOME tomorrow night and looks like I might be there most of May ...of course every time I say that, I jinx myself
