I have some layouts posted now I have to remember or figure out how to add all the information and what the keyword needs to be now to go back and edit them so it’ll show up in our gallery
Sharon, I usually post a link to the Stash Busters Challenge in large font here in this thread so people know it's ready to go, but I must have forgotten in the craziness of life right now! Glad you found it.
Thank you for asking Sharon and a big thank you Cheryl for putting together the challenge.
I will try to get it worked into one of my layouts this month
So Jayne have you gone to an Ozzie accent or still native Uk, I will have to remember the American names for stuff as most people in the USA do t have a clue what we are talking about,
Jan I definitely still have a Yorkshire/sort of Derbyshire accent...more Yorkshire. I’ll never lose it even after being here for over 30 years. I think it’s got a bit of an Aussie twang on some words. My family in the
UK say I sound Aussie but DH says definitely not. He says I’ve got a mongrel accent and I get louder the more I get excited lol. I’ll let you judge when you hear me. I may revert back though if we get chatting lol. I do when I go back to visit the UK. Do you speak fluent Spanish?

Jayne, at least we will understand each other eh up me duck! Steve taught a German man from Berlin that and he used to greet everyone on the campsite with it, they would all say, oh you know steve do you!
We aren’t fluent by any means even after two years of lessons, it’s ok when you are there but if you don’t socialise with the Spanish full time it’s hard, we know a lot and don’t have problems at all and the Spanish we know in restaurants and at football understand our Spanish now so we can have a laugh and a joke with them all. This area is country bumpkin country really, they speak quite a slang Spanish, so they shorten words, it’s the rr that we can’t do, Steve would get confused ‘with dog and but’ we had an appointment with our solicitor and he said afterwards why did he keep on about dogs! He kept saying but throughout the conversation, it’s pero is but and perro is dog but they roll the rr’s.
Hey up duck....gosh I heard that a lot when growing up. My mum always said duck. That would be so funny to get but and dog mixed up. DH was learning French and after 2 years he can just get by but can’t speak it well. I’d love to speak fluent in a language. I know French but not enough to speak it well.
I just FaceTimed my sister. She rang me during the night by accident. She says they are getting up later and later lol. My BIL is painting their house but has run out of paint so he’s only got enough to finsh the kitchen lol. Now he has a Derbyshire accent.

Funny our son and DIL have been in the USA for twenty years but neither have an accent, they ask our son if he's Australian, ha, ha,
Our GSs call us and when they say bye the eldest always says "I love you guys" always makes me laugh as that sounds so American!
My kids are all working quietly on school work and no one is asking for my help - a miracle - so I'm going to try to get some scrapping done. Now if only I don't get sucked into checking the internet for Covid-19 updates!
Jan I used to use the word actually a lot when I lived in the UK lol. My family always say to me when chatting...know what I mean...it always makes me smile lol
I only started using the term guys after living here and rarely say hello...it’s always hi. I rarely say g’day....it just doesn’t come out right lol.
Our power upstairs where my craft room is went out during the night and our alarm system so we are having to work out why and get it back on. The only thing it affects in my room is that I won’t be able to heat emboss. Phew that’s lucky.
Cheryl we only now get an update twice a day....first thing in the morning and watch the world news in the evening. In between we are in our little cocoon and I have to keep reminding myself how terrible it is out in the world. It still seems surreal.
Have fun everyone

I actually saw my friend around the corner, from a distance, walking back from the bins, she shouted me from across the road, she said sometimes she wakes up thinking she’s dreamt about the virus and then it hits her it’s true, she said it’s like one of those films you watch! So true. It was lovely to chat for five minutes, Bev is from Yorkshire, we used to have Norwegian neighbour, he said he likes her but he can never understand what’s she’s saying, her accent is so broad, even her granddaughters sound the same, ha,ha
Happy Easter weekend everyone....I found this on FB today and it gave me a chuckle.
Have fun this weekend. I’m in my craft room...yay. I have to sort photos.

It's good to "see" everyone here! I've always loved our Scrap Connection ...
12 years we've been here scrapping together :o It's especially meaningful now
SO ... wondering if anyone wants to have a "Virtual Scrap Party" tomorrow? My friends and I have been using a site called "HouseParty" or I could look into getting a "premium" account for Zoom, I think it's $15? I'm not too proficient with time zones so I'd have to figure out for Jayne and Jan if we could do a time that would work for them to join us as well?
I thought we could do this month's challenges together if you wanted ... I'll put them all in the Challenge Post or actually anything you wanted to craft, sew or just chat online together for an hour or so ....?
Well, happy Friday! I've been crafty productive here this week but mostly cards. Hope to keep it going ...
Off to work, lots of conf calls today, wish me luck, it's one of my least fave things to do

Hi! Happy Easter. I've been home now since March 18 and thought I'd have more time to be creative but I've spent the time actually cooking (and washing dishes and clothes and more dishes ;) ) Seems once I start to actually cook, the 2 men seem to eat more and more.
One of our employees might be moving in with us as where he lives now (in a basement apartment) with his sister and her family might be compromised. Her husband is a manager for Walmart and has just been exposed to covid-19 through one of his employees so he's a wee bit scared. I've spent about 2 hours clearing out our spare bedroom and everything is now in where my scrap supplies are so I don't think I'll be doing any scrapping for a bit. My dining room table is being used as my work office so no space there right now either! Can't wait till this episode resolves itself and life gets back to a near normal...
Sharon, I was having extreme trouble following the link. So I am posting it again, see if it will work for every one - really love this challenge Sharon, good for us to get in there and play with whatever stencils we have but rarely pull out to use. Lela I’m up for an online scrap party. We don’t have Houseparty though and we’ve been told not to use the app as it’s being compromised. We do have Zoom but only the basic one.
Can we arrange a day and time so everyone has time to be ready. I only just saw your post and missed it..doh! I need to scrap as I’ve been doing online classes and catching up with VSN cards. I’m now ready for scrapping and an online get together will give me a push in the right direction. I will keep checking daily to see if a day and time has been agreed. We are basically 12 hours ahead of the States and I’m 6 hours ahead of Jan so she’s 6 hours ahead of you guys I think. I don’t mind getting up early or staying up late. Whatever works for everyone.
Thanks for the challenge Sharon and Joyce Ann.
Our DGD wants to have an online art class with me today..she will be the teacher. I must get a screen shot lol.
Keep safe and well and hope that you’ve all had a safe and happy Easter at home.

Thank you for welcoming me to the group Sharon. I don't set goals because I have found that when I set a goal 9 times out of 10 I don't get there. This year by the end of January(1-31)/early February I had completed 20+ pages, made 2 albums, completed(filled) a junk/altered book (and filled it) and made a manilla folder album for souvenir pamphlets. Plus making the odd card for swaps, though the last one was just before the lockdown started. Since mid-March I have been participating in Splitcoast challenges as best I can. Though I also made 3 out 6 pages for the Creative Memories Virtual Crop weekend. Having been out of the loop for 18months through study, I had to get a quick refresher "workout" to get my 'mojo' back.
So that's why I love doing these challenges, gets my 'thinking cap' working again.
Hi Lola..welcome back. I seem to think you may have been with us some time ago. I can relate to goal setting. I just do what I can these days. Look forward to seeing your creations.
Lela, I can’t find the sketch challenge. Will check out the VSBN area.
Happy day everyone. I have my photos out...whoohoo.

Sorry about such sporadic attendance checking in here, I have been scrapping and have several more pages done for the month.
Hubby went to the hospital yesterday with an infection we had been trying to get some medication for days but he was getting too bad of shape to hold out on till today when everything opens back up or at least you can get someone on the phone. Both his home health nurse and his primary doctor said to send him to the ER and since he does not walk I called the ambulance and had them take him as nobody is allowed at the hospitals anyway. I’m finding it is a lot easier to keep up with his progress by them phoning me rather than sitting at the hospital for hours and hours waiting for them to show. Still it is hard for him to understand why I am not there I am sure he keeps asking the staff.
He should be home in a couple of days.
PS this is not in anyway related to the virus this is his ongoing battle with kidneys and bladder.
Oh, Sharon, I am sorry to hear your DH is back in the hospital. Prayers and hugs! I don’t know how you ever get any scrapping done under the circumstances.
Sharon we have been living with this for three years now and if I didn’t have my scrapping in between times I don’t know what I would do. With the virus keeping everybody home and everything closed there’s nothing else to do right now anyway, it does take my mind off of everything for a short time most days.
I started Sharon’s stencil challenge yesterday but had a mishap with my foot...I ran into a door frame and ended up horizontal for most of the day as I couldn’t put my weight on it. My DH has hurt his knee a few days ago so between the two of us..honestly. Today mine is bruised on top and on my toes but at least I can put more weight on it.
I’m going to finish my LO and then start Joyce Ann and Cheryls challenges. I have my stash and photos out ready.
Sharon (Sewflake) so sorry to hear about your DH. Yes we need our craft during this time.
Lela, how about we have a scrap/craft few hours together one day next week. I would suggest the weekend but I’ve already arranged FaceTime hookups with other friends..gosh I’m chatting a lot lol and crafting. Could we do it through FaceTime unless you are happy to call us all through zoom that would work too. Let’s make this happen and have our own scrap retreat. I’m prepared to stay up if I have to. If weekends suit you and the other ladies better, how about the following weekend?
Keep well and have fun..time to hit my craft room.

Here’s my next LO on our 2017 trip. I’ve gone onto 8x8 so I can get more photos on and not too big a difference in size. This is for Sharon’s technique. Happy day
