Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2008 & 2009 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2010! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2010! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for November. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for November, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund! It's BACK! Oh yes, our Thursday Challenge is back in the form of a FEATURED SCRAPPER! If you've ever played Featured Stamper on Sunday's you know how this works, each Thursday we'll feature a scrapper's gallery for you to scraplift from! Pick any layout in their gallery, scraplift, upload and post back here to the thread so we can enjoy your scraplift! We'll use THURFSxx (date there) and of course SBC10Nov for the upload keywords!
We're going to launch another Thursday Challenge for 2010! I'm so excited!!
SCS 52 Week Thursday Goal Challenge!
This year on Thursdays you'll be invited to join us for our 52 Week Scrap Challenge. These challenges will be PERFECT whether you're working on your kids albums, 2010 Family Album, Daily Life Album or a "BOM" (Book of Me).
We have a SPECIAL Hostess for every month and each Thursday they will post a challenge that goes with their theme for the month! By the end of the year, you'll have some GREAT pages or a complete 2010 Scrapbook...OR BOTH! :mrgreen:

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )

My goal for November is 15 layouts, whether they are one page layouts or two page....
My budget is a little messed up this month because I'm the hostess for a The Angel Company hostess club that I'm involved in - I want to get something good for my half price item so I think, including that, I may end up spending $100 this month (which is way more than I would normally say) - I have most of what I need so I just want to pick up a couple of things to "update" my stash
I've done many gift albums this year and it's time to focus on my own photos!!! With VSBN this month, I'd like to complete 20 pages...a big number for me but I so need some scrap therapy this month!
My goal for November is 15 layouts, whether they are one page layouts or two page....

Scrapbook goal: April 7/10 MAY /5 YTD 32
Ok so I know October got a little crazy, but thanks to the mini VSBN I got a few pages done, now on to November!!
Let's shoot for 10, especially with VSBN coming up, these challenges are always great for a good kick in the rear to get going again, besides I really want a somewhat complete book to print out this year (from my digi pages) as my Christmas Gift to myself, so I need to get with it!!!

I am in shock that it's already November 1st!! I am setting my goal for 10 since I have a few days off this month that I plan on staying in my pajamas all day and scrapping!! It will be Thanksgiving before we know it...I must get to work now!!! lol ;)

AND I just figured out that with the Friday starting VSBN, I'm going to treat myself and take the day off work so I can be home and play along since I have to be home anyway first thing to have some electrical work done. Looking forward to it!

Excited about Thanksgiving as I will be with my kids so I should get quite a few pictures to scrap!
Yea for photo ops! I thought I would have the opportunity to do a big Thanksgiving meal this year as we volunteered to do the "family" get together at our house (which would actually really stress me out) but it turns out my DH is "very" mad at his mom and he's canceled everything which means a hopefully totally stress free holiday with just our little family unit. This will be the first time EVER since the late 80's that I can have T-giving at my home with just my immediate family members! I think it's wonderful and I might just be able to start a tradition besides making the things we all love to eat! DGS and I are already planning the menu!
YAY for November.....one month closer to CHRISTMAS!!! LOL!...pls don't shoot me ladies but I love it...even more so because my hubby is getting 3 weeks leave to come home for Christmas!!! As for my November goal I am going for 10 layouts!!!! Can't wait to get started! =) Happy November Scrapping Ladies!
I'm going to set my goal at 10 layouts this month. I only have 17 to go until I reach my yearly goal! Completing 31 layouts last month was tiring, but it got me so much closer to that goal. Hope I can drop in for VSBN this weekend. I'm going to an all day crop on Saturday, so hopefully the challenges will be posted and I can check them before I leave. Never participated in one of these before so I'm not entirely sure how it works.
But you have to admit it was worth it. You rocked the pages last month!!!
Thanks for hosting the challenge and being inspiring with your layouts, Cheryl! #31 is sitting on my table waiting for me. My son has decided that shorter naps are his cup of tea this week, so my scrappy time got very reduced. I'm also trying to reassemble my house to get ready for a birthday party this weekend. BUT I WILL GET IT DONE. Think I'll go see what I can do now before dinner!

I officially just finished up the last LOAD challenge for October (Cheryl was gracious and gave a week lag time ...)
So now my scrappy stuff gets put away until we get past a birthday and I think Christmas cards. Also thought of a variation on the December Daily that I might try. I bought a board book from the $ spot at Target. It's for toddlers, but I've seen people embellish them. Thinking about using some Christmas papers to do just that - not a daily, but traditions..etc. anyone else doing something this year?
I finished my second layout for the month. I'm not doing LOAD this month (big sigh!), but I am still on a roll for now. I also have a sketch challenge for this layout on my blog, and I would love to see what my SCS sisters can do with the sketch!

I finished my second layout for the month. I'm not doing LOAD this month (big sigh!), but I am still on a roll for now. I also have a sketch challenge for this layout on my blog, and I would love to see what my SCS sisters can do with the sketch!
I'm making each of my three girls a calendar for Christmas. I finished the first one yesterday, so that makes my total for November so far = 13 pages. I would like to take some photos for each family and have them entirely complete by Christmas.

VSBN is there whenever you have time! We do do it 'live' but there is always a Master Threadwith all the challenges so you can play whenever you want. We have deadlines but only for recognition or prizes whenever offered; this time it's November 14. However, you can use the challenges any time to get inspiration for your pages...getting pages completed is the BEST prize of all! :-)
