Question Envelope Size?

What size envelope do you use for the finished card?
I would like to make this card for Christmas. Will it go throught the mail?

I'm sorry for being so late to answer. I need to check this site more.
The envelopes I used were 4 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Has anyone tried making this card with 11 X 4 1/4" for the base? So you could get two cards from one piece of cs?

Thanks so much for posting these directions Joelyn. No one would believe how easy it is!! Such a "wow" card. I can't wait to play!!

Thanks Joelyn for sharing the pattern!!! This is my current favorite card to make!!

I trimmed the card down to 11 x 4 1/4 to fit my store bought envelopes. Also, you are able to get two from one piece of card stock. Worked great, just had to make a slight alteration in the directions for cutting the slit in piece A for piece B to slide through. I first made this slit big because I had a gift card attached to piece B. That was a BIG mistake. With the bigger slit & the weight of the gift card, the card wouldn't stand up on its own. I did it again with a small slit and the gift card again. It worked great this time. Thanks!!!
