MISTI Monday December Challenge 2020
Challenge Title: My Favorite December Card Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP40 Date: December 7, 2020
Hi Everyone! So sorry I missed posting this on the 7th. I have no idea how I looked over it. Can I just chalk it up to COVID brain? I tried to upload last night, but I got the 405 server error when I typed in the web address. Since this will be a shorter time than normal for you all to enter your cards, I'll do something very easy. I just want you to enter your favorite card you made this month. Let me know why it's your favorite and how you used your MISTI. If you don't have one, let me know why you'd like to have one.
I still cannot upload a picture into my post, so it's attached as a thumbnail. This card is my favorite for a couple reasons. 1) It's WAY out of my comfort zone. I'm more of a clean and simple. 2) I shocked myself by how well it turned out!.
I used my MISTI to stamp all the trees. I started with the furthest, blurrier if you will, trees and just kept layering the distress oxide inks to create the scene. I misted the watercolor paper with water and my stamp with water to create the blurry effects. I also used my MISTI to stamp the birds and sentiment so I could make sure if I needed more ink, I had the precision of the MISTI for repeated stamping in the same exact spot. The pinetree stamps were from Close To My Heart, Stampin'Up! and Gina K Designs.
This was made for a male who is retiring who liked the outdoors.
I can't wait to see what cards you enter. I so love looking at them all!
Thanks so much and Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year!
MISTI Monday

Pretty card! The site has been crazy the last few days and everyone got the 405 error message. I will have to see if I have a favorite from this month or make a new one.

This is a set of my favorite cards, using the retired Stampin' Up set Silent Night. I used my Mini Misti on every card as I stamped two or three times to get good coverage with Versamark. Thanks for a fun challenge this month. I hope this "qualifies" as my favorite card, even though it is more than one. Merry Christmas Everyone--Bring on 2021!

Here is my card for this challenge: I used my MISTI in case I needed to stamp my image or sentiment more than once, and for exact placement. Using my MISTI puts my mind at ease. Thanks for Looking!

I made my card using a layout that CraftyMerla used for the MSP31, this challenge was to make a spring card...I chose a tree so that I could also participate in another challenge that is posted today. https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/3020771?&cat=500&ppuser=31342 Trees aren't always bright green in the spring, didn't help that I had recently reinked my oxide pad and the colors didn't "blend into one"...I still like the look. I made a couple of these cards for masculine birthdays for 2021.

My favorite card that I made this month was actually one for a VSN challenge. You can see it - HERE. I always have a hard time getting a dark/crisp look when stamping a larger sentiment, so I love using my Misti, which allows me to stamp it repeatedly until it's crisp enough. I also stamped the image with my Misti.

I used this card for another challenge and I'm also using this card for the Misti Monday December...My Favorite
December Card. I think my favorite card is always the one that I'm
working on or just finished! I don't have a Misti.....but, if I
did....it would have been very helpful to do repeat stamping on the
tree.

This wildflower field card was my favorite card for the month - I just added the Club Scrap set to my collection. My Misti was so handy because I used watercolor paper, and i could easily restamp to get a good image on the textured paper.

December MISTI Monday Winner!
Hello Everyone! My daughter is home and we had our Christmas yesterday. Turned out to be very busy as my son got a flat tire in the middle of the day. That capped off my daughter getting two flat tires on her way home from New York on Thursday after hitting a monster pot hole. Anyway....I need to post the winner! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Congratulations to Jo Ann F.! Her card, Peaceful Season, was the randomly chosen winner! My daughter drew your name out of my new pottery! Thank you all for entering! I'll be posting the January challenge tonight! Much love and happy 2021! May you all be happy and healthy this year! MISTI Monday

Apologies!
Hi everyone! I apologize! On my winner post, I stated the incorrect name of the card. I was on my phone and read the card name below her card instead of on top of her card. It is the correct winner. So sorry! MISTI Monday
