I'm trying to decide if I should get the Mini Misti or the regular Misti. I mostly make A2 cards but once in a while I do make 5x7 cards. Any suggestions?
I'm with Lydia. If you can only get one get the original. The mini is great but you can only put a single layer in it, or a folded A2 card. With the original you can put in an open A2 card.
I would also go with the original size first. I often want things hanging off the edge and not centered on the card so the extra room makes that easy to do.
I agree. If you're stamping a repetitive pattern, it's necessary to have room to move the card around both left and right (as well as up and down, which you can do anyway, since you can take the card off the Misti). YOu can also do other fun things with a bigger (original) Misti, like circular stamping. Believe it or not, having just bought the original Misti, and loving it to death, I am now thinking of buying the bigger 12-inch Misti which is supposedly coming out soon! This purchase would be "next year," of course. I basically would like to undertake some more ambitious projects that will be bigger, and which can be hung on the wall. The Misti helps in so many ways with patterns and precision, not to mention the possibility of deeper color through repeat stamping (good for wall hangings that will be viewed from a distance).
I took the advice and got the regular Misti. My only problem is that when I pick up the magnets, I tend to pick them up with the same hand. When they snapped together so quickly I thought I had been shocked. Didn't think I was ever going to get them separated. I am really enjoying having my stamps looking so good.

Great that you're enjoying it! And as many others have said, don't be surprised when your magnets go missing. Just look under your Misti. Or on your paper cutter, scissors, or any other metallic device that's on your tabletop. The magnets will be stuck there like a barnacles; they NEVER stay put where you left them!
