Happy July everyone! I hope you all had a great June! I did!
I really loved all your cards using patterned paper! You guys always rock each challenge!
This month's challenge is to use alphabet or number stamps or dies. I contacted a friend of mine who owns Maker Forte and asked her to make an alphabet set for me that I've been wanting. She did and just released it recently, so I thought I'd make a card using it. It's letters in the style of Rae Dunn. Not sure if you all know who that is, but just Google Rae Dunn if you've not heard of her.
I used the new alphabet stamp set to make a wedding card using stamps from Colorado Craft Company as well. I love big and bold alphabets. There's so much you can do with them! Here I made my own sentiment.
I used my MISTI to place my letters in a straight line and also used the graph on the lid to help with spacing of the letters. The recipient absolutely loved this card! (Her mom is my friend who collects Rae Dunn items and she was the inspiration for the WANT of this alpha set).
Your challenge is to have fun creating your own sentiment or art using alphas and/or numbers.

Use what you have (clear block, wood block, any stamping item), upload your card to your gallery then add a link on this thread...

I agree with the others. You can stamp the way you always do. My first cards were made using blocks. Then I was very fortunate to receive a Misti as a gift. I never in a million years thought i had a chance to win. I thought they were chosen by the cards complexity and beauty. Now I know it really is random. Please join join in the fun!
Here is my card. I mixed it with the Teapot Challenge including a number and name. I have used letters for adding a specific name, usually on balloons, but this is a first on a farm truck.

If struggle was part of the winning process I am certain I would win! This very easy looking card was really a struggle to make but I finished it and I like it well enough that it will not go in the trash. I will send it to one of my DNA Discovery siblings who I refer to lovingly as rabbits...
I finally got a chance to play a bit this afternoon. I made this card and this one. For the first one, I used a die. For the second, I used words I cut out using a Silhouette. I hope that counts.
Hello everyone and hello AUGUST! Sheesh, this year is going by rapidly!!!
I greet you from the land of cardboard boxes! I'm moving on August 14th! I'm in a small apartment and am going to a house! It's a small house, but I live alone, so it's perfectly fine. My new craft room is less than 1/2 the size of the one I have now, though. I'm going to have to get creative with organization and down sizing.
Thanks so much for all who entered this month! I know summer is hard for folks to get around to making cards. Most of my craft room is packed up, so my card making is negligible right now.
Congrats to Forest Ranger! Her card, A Simple Word, was chosen as this winner for July! How cute was her card?

I doing some cardmaking ahead, as well as playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking, and catching up on my SCS postings all rolled into one!
This was a card made ahead...YAY! It is my granddaughter's November birthday, but it works for the July Misty challenge as well My alpha/ number sentiments are positioned on the heart balloons!
