HAPPY BELATED EASTER!
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a very nice Easter! Mine was quiet. My birthday was the day before, so I had a pretty relaxing and slow paced weekend. I'm so happy that the weather is warming up and I can feel the sun on my face.
This month I'm sharing a card I made for my nieces birthdays, they're Irish Twins. They used the same products, but I did two slightly different designs.
I decided to use Catherine Pooler's Cocktail Party line and matching paper. These cards are so suited for my nieces...they like their cocktails. They're 36 and 35...which is crazy to me.
I just absolutely love polka dots and when I saw the paper that coordinated with the set, I immediately thought of a card design. I die cut circles from white card stock and the polka dot paper card stock and split them between the two cards. I also dry embossed the white die cut circles with a polka dot embossing folder. I'm not sure if you'll be able to make that out in the photo. I picked out my favorite color of the polka dot paper and used the coordinating Catherine Pooler Ink to stamp the "alcohol" in the glasses.
I used my MISTI to stamp the glasses in black and then the alcohol layer. I also used it to stamp on my die cuts by using the negative space technique to perfectly align the image on the die cut. Can you even imagine trying to stamp on die cuts without the MISTI? I cannot...and I will not....lol.
Your challenge this month, if you choose to accept, will be to make a card using polka dots in your design, however you like. You can stamp them, use polka dot paper, use circle dies....anything. I loved how I used the circles 3 times. Die cuts, paper and embossing folder. It really pulls all the elements together and makes it cohesive.
I hope to see you all contributing and I look forward to looking at all the pretty cards you guys enter.
Have a wonderful April!

Hiw fo you get to the gallery it doesn't come up with msp44
It looks like no cards have been added to the gallery with that keyword, or at least, no one has left there link on this thread. Misti Monday does not post to the gallery but attaches hers to the first post. Any others, will have a day lag as all keywords seem to have a day lag right now. Does this make sense to you?

When I make cards using older wood-mounted stamps I am reminded how much value there is in owning a Misti. On this card - HERE - I wasted three pieces of cardstock in attempts of getting a decent stamped image.
My card is a self-designed, (memory cased...see blog for explanation) Alternative card using the Stampin' Up June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit parts plus other papers and stamps. I always use my Misti to assure a "good" stamp, which was the case for the sentiment, the umbrella and the hibiscus stamped items. Before the Misti, I was an anxiety-ridden stamper! To meet the challenge requirements, I used a black & white polka dot patterned paper on my card.

MISTI Monday challenge MSP44, my first challenge in 10 years!
Thanks for this challenge. A friend told me about it and encouraged me to give it a try. I haven't stamped much in quite a while though I have been wanting to. I would love to have a MISTI but don't have one. I think MISTI would help me stamp a lot more because I wouldn't waste so much time trying to get good stamped images.
I had fun with this card. The polka dot paper has white and metallic gold polka dots so I went with metallic gold for the background and for the circle behind the sentiment. For my circles, I used the polka dot background and Spellbinder circle dies. My card is here: MISTI Monday Polka Time Challenge MSP44 by stampandweave at Splitcoaststampers (I don't remember how to do cleaner-looking links.
Here is my second card for the MISTI Monday Polka Time Challenge. If I'd have had a MISTI, I likely would have gotten a complete image stamped. As it is, I didn't. I'm using it anyway. ;)
This is my first attempt at making a black and white card. The card is going to a neighbor. Her mother passed away. It only took 6 attempts to get an image I liked. Maybe a Misti would have helped me? Rose in polka dot by smileyj at Splitcoaststampers
And, one more card with heart polka dots-the image is a wooden stamp and I struggle to use those, even with my Misti. The sentiment is crisper as it is a cling.

I have a friend who really needs some cheering up. So I made a few cards. I have really been trying to use up tons of DP I have. Some I didn't even remember buying. As my DH says, "you have more than most stores." So here's another polka dot card. Pinky polka dots by smileyj at Splitcoaststampers
Here is one of there many variations I made on my previous magnolia card. I am really enjoying that stamp. I am also enjoying looking at all the other cards made for this challenge.
Here is my polka dot card. I don't know what I would do to get my sentiments to line up along the edge of the paper triangle if I didn't have a Mist! It is also handy when I am trying to sort of do assembly line cards to use as a gift set.

stampandweave's take 3 card, with the magnolia, was randomly chosen as this month's winner. Thank you so much everyone, for joining in! It's such a pleasure to see everyone's creations!
Getting ready to post May's challenge right now....

And to think you haven't uploaded a card in 10 years! Happy new beginning, it really does make cardmaking easier.

I know! That's hard to believe! I made a card for a friend's birthday. She will notice the sentiment inside could have used a MISTI as it didn't stamp completely. As the card was already made, I sent it anyway, knowing she would understand.
