Hello and Happy Summer! Welcome to the Mix-Ability Challenge! This week I'm welcoming in summer with a challenge to recreate your own Sandy Shores! I don't know about you, but the idea of some alone time on the beach sounds really good right about now (as my 3 kiddos as for a snack for the billionth time)!

If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal, instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy!

My challenge today is simple! Just create anything with a Sandy Shore Show me what tricks you have up your sleeves! Here are some ideas to get those creative juices flowing...

You can use these mediums for a sandy texture:

Actual Sand (heehee)
Embossing Powder
Glitter
Stickles
Glass Bead Gel
Microbeads
Whipped Spackle

OR you could incorporate these techniques:

Paper tearing
Embossing
Bleach
Paint Splatter
Stipple Brush
Stippling
Watercolor
Spray Inks

I chose to combine paper tearing, stipple brushing, and watercoloring with Gelatos!

I used salt! I combined this with the VSN challenge. The salt is grainy like sand.
