Hi everyone! We are having a little switcharoo in hosting the challenge and MariLynn will be back soon! In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy this wide-open challenge I’ve prepared for us!

This week let’s create with a vignette on our project. This could mean a few things to some so I’ll give you some descriptions I’ve found.

• Soften the frame of your image, no straight line.
• Blend out the edges so they fade into the card base.
• Once the base mat is on the card base or page, draw multiple lines to diminish the otherwise abrupt transition of layers.

Here's mine - I went with a slightly earlier definition of vignetting. The photo version is something I get too often unwanted if I have a hood on the camera!!

Thanks for the challlenge, Janelle. I used an interpretation I had once learned in an art class for vignette.....background fading to nothing.
