Happy New Year - almost! Today's challenge is inspired by the threshhold we stand on today, and I realized a LOT of what we do on this last day of the year is look back. And after two years of zoom, we've all been looking in a high tech "mirror" more than normal.
So my challenge to you today is to use mixed media to illustrate mirroring. It could be a project of reflection - a memory, it could be a self portrait (sense of humor welcome - mine would obviously be a squirrel this year), or you could use any number of mirroring or reflection techniques from the list below.
I chose a Gel Press mirroring technique - where you create abstract landscapes by folding your gel press in half. Here's my video.
Most of all - the team and I want to thank you for another year of your beautiful inspiration in these challenges. We love mixed media and hope you do too!
Fun challenge. I went with a memory from our camping holiday in July.
Equally memorable was being woken by bright lights and loud noise when the next door neighbours came out late at night in their tractor to turn the hay over ready for baling the next day . Another neighbour had a couple of horses in my brother's field that we opted NOT to camp in, and my SIL's hens are in that field too, so we certainly had a great feeling of being in the countryside.
so i finally saw all the wonderful cards made using this technique and i am very inspired!! i have had my gelli plates for a few years and haven't touched them feeling rather overwhelmed. well....tomorrow is the day! thanks so much. i have also subscribed to you on youtube.
