Welcome to a new challenge in the Mix-Ability forum! Whether it's your first time or 388th we want you to have fun and comfortable about using mixed media as your method to creating projects. If it's your first time go check out Lydia's post "What is the Mixability Challenge?".
Let's get started with our challenge! This week let's get back to our ABC's, as in "About Braque Collage". Georges Braque is one of the artists noted as starting the mixed media movement along with Pablo Picasso.
[If there is no image see first image in thumbnails or go to http://www.georgesbraque.org/georges-braque-paintings.jsp]
Take inspiration from one of the first artists who influenced Mixed Media art. Use paper collage and two marking mediums on your project.
When ready, upload to your member gallery and use keyword "MIX388" to share it to our challenge gallery.
Enjoy and I can't wait to see what you create!

Just wondering what exactly is meant by "marking medium" ? Paint, pastel, charcoal etc? I do remember seeing some of Braque's work in the Pompidou Centre but I don't recall collage.

Usually marking medium is pen, pencil, etc., but it could include ink as well. Don’t worry too much about it if it gets your creativity stuck. Just have fun.
