Ready for a new Mix-Ability challenge?!! Our goal is to make mixed media easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!
This week's challenge is Vacation Time! Use this as an opportunity to take your mind off things! Maybe you choose to dream of somewhere exotic, or think about somewhere you’ve been or somewhere you want to go, or think about somewhere you spend time to relax ... wherever it is, make it a place where you can rest and enjoy time without worry or stress.
I visited Mackinaw Island when I was a kid - what a magical place! We rode bikes around the island and it was perfection! I also love to spend time in the garden to clear my mind, and while it’s also time spent working, it’s still time I truly enjoy.
Use any techniques you’d like to - no stress, no worry! I can’t wait to see your designs! Have fun!
Remember to use the keyword MIX377 when uploading your creations to the gallery, come back and post a link, and let us "ooooooh" and "ahhhhhh" over your works of art!
My family and I went to Mackinac about thirty years ago. My son's 5th birthday was that day. We rented bikes and rode all around the island. My bike was rather shabby and I had to turn the handlebars to ride straight, which was a challenge. My son was not very cooperative, I think he rode in a child seat, but he was a whiner at 5. Ha, what a memory. It was a wonderful day, truly.

We have been to Mackinaw Island twice! If you are ever there again, look for my spouses and my initials up in the fort. HE carved them in both times we were there!
I’m currently doing a travel album of a trip we took to the UK and to the Canary Islands in 2017. Here’s a page I did today.
It doesn’t have a lot of mixed media on it but I thought I would share it as it is to do with travel. We were due to fly to Spain this weekend and then on to the UK for a 2 month trip....who knows when we will do that now and certainly not in the next 12 months, so for now I shall continue to travel and revisit places where we have wonderful memories through my scrapbooking. Hola Las Palmas by Ozpom - at Splitcoaststampers
Happy day and happy creating.
