Challenge Title: Text Appeal
Hostess: peeps321 (Polly)
Keyword: MIX237
It's no secret that I like to use old book pages on my cards. I think it adds a unique look and it lends itself well to mixed media. So today I'd like you to locate some text..be it an old book page, a magazine, a travel flyer, newspaper, or if all else fails..use a text stamp.
Challenge: Cut a shape out of some sort of "text" using your dies and add this die cut text to your card or project. Experiment....use an unconventional one like a leaf, a cityscape, a border ...of course you can always use a layering die cut.
Remember to use at least two or more different mediums on your project. See this postfor some ideas. Also make sure to put MIX237 in the keyword section.
Sound like fun, Polly
Thanks for the early post...alas I have to work this morning but I love knowing the challenge and bring able to think about it so I can started on it when I get home.
I appreciated the early post too Pol. I had a very happy Friday afternoon crafting. My card is a bit weird, but I still remember you saying, 'when you find another weirdo, never let them go".

Thanks for the challenge, Polly and it really was a challenge since I don't have a lot of printed materials at home that I'm willing to sacrifice for crafting. Thank goodness for an old AAA magazine! I used it not just for the print but also for the faux cloissone technique for this week's WTA challenge. Here's my card.
And even later - here's what I really wanted to make. Not when I first read your challenge - it's been such a busy few days that I can't even remember what card I originally was thinking of on Friday morning before getting sad news while at work.
