MariLynn here with a fun technique. Have you ever been working on a mixed media project and accidentally had some water spill or drop onto your project? If you did you probably noticed that some of the color came up with the water if you were working with a water soluble product like distressed inks or watercolor. The fun technique that we are doing today is to purposely do this with a spray bottle and a stencil.
I found out about this technique when I saw this video:




So grab some distressed inks or lay down a watercolor wash and then pull out a stencil and a spray bottle of water. To make our projects MIXED media you will need to use at least one more art medium to make it mixed. On my sample card. I used watercoloring, ink, gold acrylic paint and textiles. Well, this turned out a bit better than water stamping ever has for me, but I didn't seem to get a very vivid result first time round so that's waiting to be turned into something else. Thanks for a fun challenge, MariLynn.

I truly enjoyed this challenge (and my results) - like Sabrina I didn't get much ghosting on my first try - probably because I wasn't sure how much water to spray. The second wash I spritzed considerably more water over the stencil and really got a nice lift! Here's my card:
