Here's what I've come up with so far for a cover template for the DVD cases for sets that I unmount. I'm planning to put Loads of Love, Fun & Accessories all in one case.
I don't have a case with me so am not quite sure of the size but it looks about right. Look at it in print preview.
Feel free to make adjustments & post them here!
Also, if you make a case cover for a specific stamp set, why not post it here for all of us to share!
You can get images from the on-line store for current sets & scan old catalogues for retired images.
To save $$, I'm planning to remove the rubber & foam from the wood block, peel the sticker off the wood & stick it to the underside of the stamp then use Tombow Mono Multi glue on the sticker to make it repositional. It should work! I'll find out this weekend.

Please let us know if this part of it works. I'm very curious about the multi glue.
Thanks for sharing the ms word document!

I would love to see this but it opens to a blank page :(
This is a server migration issue. Had the same problem with a prismacolor file. Higher powers are working on this we are told, but if AngelinYTH can re-post it we all should be able to open it. And it would be quicker that waiting on technical support
BTW, I am unmounting all my sets . . . I love all the space.

I have read on more than one occassion, that if you stick the stamp in your microwave for about 15 minutes that it works wonderfully! I have not done any yet.
I have some new sets that I am thinking of doing like Angel suggessted. I'm just a little scared to until I hear back from her.

Hope this helped.
15seconds!!!! not minutes
personally, I just use my heat gun (for embossing) that way I don't have to take them to the kitchen ;)
oh okay thanks.... will that unmounted stamps will work to put on acylric block to stick with it or u have to buy the whole ez-mount to fix the shapes of stamps??

I have been using the method describe on this website: http://www.stampsomefun.com/
just scroll down her blog; she has complete instructions and video.
This has been working for me. It has been really cheap; I hear ez-mount is expensive.
Question please, I'm a forum newbie so please forgive me if I'm not asking this question to the correct group...
First, thanks so much to all who have contributed information regarding unmounting stamps. What I've read has been sooo helpful!
My question...does anyone know if microwaving the stamps is harmful/hazardous/dangerous??
I've tried it on a few sets and love the results, but I've noticed that sometimes my microwave will make "pinging" noises when I open the door after the "buzzer" goes off.
Not a lot. Not very loud...I just notice because I'm standing there peeling rubber off the wood.
Are there any "residual" effects??? I know I'm probably being paranoid, but I've never heard the microwave "ping" when I've cooked food items.

Since I remove the foam along with the stamp, I don't need to buy EZ mount. The TIOAO on the clear image creates enough sticky and you already have the old foam still on.

Thanks everyone!
I have not had a problem and there is no "pinging" or a smell or anything so I would not think so. (Just 10-15 seconds though is all that's needed)
Thanks for the file! I'll definitely use it. I've done the microwave thing for less than 15 seconds and it works fabulously! No odor or anything. I use the clear label from the wood block on the back (keep the foam on) trim it and then use Tombow to make it sticky.
I want to try Allene's Tack It Over and Over glue, is there any difference from the Tombow?
I would love to know if there is a difference too because I had to order the TIOAO online, neither my Michaels or Joann's had it.
I heard about the freezer version but the nice thing about the micro is that the heat keeps the foam and clear sticker sticky so that you can apply the sticker onto the foam.
OOOhhhhh! Am doing naked rubber and 2 sided tape as the foam and sticker method does not look neat,...have had stamps that have no sticker or the sticker peals back.
Someone asked me to reverse the printing of the spine so the SU logo was at the top & the stamp set names facing the other direction....so here it is! I think this way matches the SU case inserts. I don't have one here to compare.

Thank you so much, Angel - this looks great! For anyone unmounting stamps, I'd also recommend Sailor 2-in-1 Glue Marker instead of TIOAO - personal preference, but there's an alternative for you.
I also recommend bare ruber as opposed to having the stickers - they never seem to hold up well over time. I saw a thread somewhere where the girl (I think she was a TAC demo) showed how to stamp the image with StazOn onto a Teflon craft sheet, then pick up the stamped image with a flat rubber stamp (like a shadow or mirror stamp) so she could stamp it directly on the rubber of the original stamp. The glue over it to make it tacky seals the ink so it wouldn't transfer to your acrylic block. Clear as mud? I'll see if I can find the post...
I went a little bonkers on the how-many-stamp-sets-fit-in-one-case, and blogged about it HERE and HERE, if anyone's interested...
Now I just have to figure out how to adapt Angel's template to make the covers... Thanks again!
Thank You Angel!! Would it be possible for you to share the template that's blank and then we could insert the stamp sets we will be placing in that case? I totally appreciate the work you did on this......I need a Dummy 101 program to do it
Thanks, BarbieJo! My BFF and I attended a stamping/scrapping expo here in town last year, and one of the stamp companies there that sold bare rubber had a demo showing how she prepped the stamps for use. She was using the Sailor glue and I chatted with her for a bit about it and she showed me her stamp binders and let me do the touchy-feely thing and all of that. I bought one of the markers just to try it out. Of course, I was kicking myself later when I used it all up and couldn't find any more - even online! I've found a source now, though: Paper & Ink Arts. Select supplies>adhesives, then scroll down a bit. I LOVE this stuff!
One more thing I wanted to throw out there: If you're planning to go all the way down to bare rubber when you unmount your stamps, don't bother with the microwave. You can just get a fingernail under an edge between the rubber and the foam and peel that baby right off! Sometimes there is a bit of residue from the sticky side of the foam, but you can roll it right off with your thumb...
They're in the Stampin'Up! Occasions mini catalog. You get four of them for around $5. (I don't have a catalog in front of me) I'm pretty sure they'll be in all of the regular catalogs, too, as that's how SU is now packaging their "clear mount" sets.
I have started with my non SU sets to practice,...got some thin clam shell like cases at Archivers many of the stamps I have are a related series,...just finished my Wizzard of Oz set. Have a bunch of Beatles and coffee/chocolate/postage/Peanuts,...all that I want to keep together and are too many for the cases. Will reserve those for SU sets.
Sue,thanks for the responce on the glue, does it stay on the rubber always so the stamps stay put in the cases?

You are ever so welcome, and yes, the glue makes the back of the stamp tacky, but leaves no residue. It sort of feels like the cling vinyl after you let it dry really well. The fact that it comes in a wide chisel-tip marker is a HUGE plus, as well - so easy to apply right where you want it without finding some kind of applicator!
Sue,have added that site to fav's,...finger tips are sore did my postage and Peanuts stamps today. How many of the glue should I get? How far does it go? How fast will it come? When are you comming over to help???
