Default Unmounted My Wheels. Uses for the containers?

I finally made time to unmount my Stampin' Up! wheels. It was so fast & easy! I wish I had fone it years ago!

Now I have the empty containers. Before I toss them I wanted to see if anyone has ideas of how to use them for storage of other craft supplies. Because the bottoms are an odd shape I haven't been able to think of supplies that would store well in them.
Thanks for your ideas!

I received all my wheels from my sister-in-law (free)and they weren't in containers, so really don't know what your containers look like.

You can always donate the containers to a scout troop or take them to a thrift store.  Hopefully others will have some great ideas for you.
No matter what you do with them, it's always better than laying in the landfill.

I don't know what these containers look like either, but from what you've said I'm guessing there's a funny shape to the interior.  Would it be possible to separate that shaped inner part from the outer container to make it more usable? If not I agree with grannyof8, sometimes we should just donate things in order to clear our space and mind!

I have the containers for the wheels, too. I can think of possible uses at a preschool - they could be used as sorting trays, or paint trays. I don’t know that any schools would accept them now, but if nothing else, they could go to Good Will.

My first thought was actually rolls of ribbon, but I don’t know if anyone uses a lot of ribbon anymore.

To prod thoughts, here's what the SU wheel storage boxes look like...

Thank you for the visual!  My idea was totally off base.

I'm thinking small rolls of ribbon (like the really small ones they often sell at Michael's crafts, or small rolls of washi tape.  Otherwise, they could also hold small embellishments like buttons or charms. Just be sure not to turn them sideways or upside down, or all your sorting will be gone!

I have often saved odd-shaped containers over the years, with the thought that I would be able to use them for "something". The problem was that my "someday" stash began to rival the landfill. So, I started culling it and putting recyclables in the recycle bin. Since these are plastic, they may be suitable for the recycle bin, and at least they'll not to tossed in the landfill as-is.

I would say this is probably the best idea!

As far as ideas for storing washi tape, I use either a metal mesh silverware divider tray or a plastic silverware divider tray--just not the ones with the triangular area for spoons.  The rolls usually fit in the rows pretty well and you can tape the loose edge of the tape to the row "wall."

Do you have samples of the stamp layouts?
