OMG he could make a fortune selling those! Now I wish I had not thrown the cardboard spools out after rewinding onto clothespins. Fabulous!

Wow -- he probably could even just sell the plans. Can you imagine how many SCS'ers hubbies might find them sitting on their workbenches?!

That is so cool!! Merry Christmas to you. He really should have the plans made up to either sell them or hook up with someone who can manufacture it. This is a excellent idea.

I will keep you all informed .. he is doing up the plans now ... he was a cabinetmaker by trade and I guess before he designed my cabinet he did alot of research on the net to see what us Gals were looking for in ribbon storage .... and then he came up with this idea ....
I told him he should patent the swing arms but he said for that there is way to much involved in getting a patent.. antway .. the plans will be ready soon

Totally awesome. Your husband is great to come up with this. Yes, my husband could build one if he had the plans. Let us know if you decide to sell them.

You have one of the most thoughtful and sweetest husbands there is (I have the other one ;) ). I am so impressed that he did all of the "research", designed, & built this for you for Christmas! You are one lucky lady. What a great ribbon cabinet too ! I'm standing in line for those plans when he has them ready as I have 400 rolls of ribbon just waiting for a cabinet.

That is totally awesome... I have a question though... is it a full sized cabinet? from the outside it looks like a full sized cabinet that is like what about 12 inches deep... but when you open it up it looks like its only about 6 or 8 inches deep... love the look of it!! Great job hubby!!

I would be interested in an unfinished unit - or one painted white. Keep us posted on the pricing.
