Oh my gosh--this is too awesome--I just finished mine to after reading the post "how many do you have" and got some ideas on how to do this. Got it all done tonight but nothing as nice as yours--but will work for me for now. I will keep your great system in mind for when I have hundreds.
Thanks for sharing the pictures. Very impressive!!

This is excellent! I currently have mine in envelopes, but this looks much better.

Congrats!

I bow to your greatness. I can only dream of having that many embossing folders.

Boxes like the ones you used are on the clearance rack at Sizzix. They have some really pretty colors too. I think I will try this one out thanks for the idea.

Another organizational project I need to tackle. I don't have anywhere near as many EFs as you do, but trying to see how an EF looks on a project by looking at the folder itself is useless. Having a sample of each one in some coherent order - well, maybe that will be my project this weekend.

Very nifty system. I'm sure the work you put in is going to pay off bigtime in productivity.

Good question! :-) I'm also curious (to see how many more I'm probably going to end up buying, based on the law of averages).

So far I have 20 plus 2 embossing plates.

Wow! What a lot of work that was but how great to have all of your efs finally organized and convenient to use. I, too, don't have anywhere near the collection of efs that you do, but if I start now using your ideas I may not be so frustrated later!

I've looked and can't find it now, but not too long ago there was a thread about how many embossing folders people had - I think there were a couple of people who had around 300! It was an interesting thread.

That's a great idea. I should be storing them like that rather than laying down in a drawer. I'll just have to get my buns in gear now. :P

I use a large plastic container to store my embossing folders. I label embossing folders as I get them. I made dividers to store my embossing folders behind. I keep all my SU folders in one section. The others are sorted into sections like flowers, frames, holidays, birthday, masculine, shapes, etc. The folders are easy to find and use. I alphabetize folders in each section so it is even easier to find them.

I store mine similarly except that my tabs are by company.

I like it too. Although I only have a few EF, that will make for an easy organization day. after seeing your system, I dumped my old system which was EF in a wire basket. Love the sample on the front of the file folder.

I have mine in a wire box, arranged by brand, but no folders or tabs. I want to try this system, but I think I will color code them by brand too, all SU green, all Cuttlebug blue, etc. I also have them in Evernote, which is helpful for finding them with the tabs.

I only have about 10 or 12.
That said... after seeing this awesome organization system (which is similar to one I wrote about in Polymer Cafe magazine a year ago), I'm thinking if I do this now, I have room to add MORE :-D

116 which is why I'm getting more picky about what I buy.
