i have bygel rails in my craft room, and i bought some of the plastic cutlery containers that hang on the rails. then again, i only have 20 copics. so i don't need tons of copic storage.
i wish i had a picture, but i haven't taken one. if you do a search in the gallery, for like, IKEA or something, it should bring up the rails and the cups.
This would probably be my way of storing them if I hadn't bought them in cases.
I love the cases though because each pen has its own spot and I can see at a glance what should work together and what I haven't put back!
It's solid but takes up very little space (ca. 16" wide). There is no assembly. I keep it across from me at my work desk and can read and select the desired number easily. I keep the colors separated by empty slots; then the markers are arranged by number. When you have a stack of four it is still quite easy to re-insert the bottom marker back into its position. I had two or three other storage containers before going to this one, but this one beats all. I have a mix up Original and Sketch, and this accommodates both. Refill ink containers can fit in too.
I have always stored mine in an enamel utensil holder. I like the divided compartments and the handle makes it easy to transport. And, of course, they look so pretty!
Hey Linda thanks for showing us that cool utensil holder. I have something like that But I found mine at Wal-mart on the clearance shelf.
I use it for storing Cut cardstock and Scissor's and markers. Not my copic ones.
Cause I store them in Large Plastic Clam shell boxes. Cause I can take them with me to crops!
I don't know where, but I've seen some great storage ideas! It was a railing attached to a wall, where there are lots of cups and tins hanging off of the railing. The person used each cup/tin for a different marker/accessory.
The Copics were separated by colour group, and you could see all of the ends with the numbers, because they are sticking out of the cups!
I wish I knew where the picture was where I saw that!

I simple love my A Muse marker bucket for Copic storage. It's very portable(takes up very little space), stores both Ciao and Sketch easily(vertical), is cute(love the sage green color), and was only $20. Check them out...wish I knew how to post a link to it....
LOVE the bucket but I can't bring myself to pay $15 shipping for 2 of them that I need. My LSS said that they are not selling them wholesale, so they can't order them for me. :(
Any other portable storage options for 250+ Sketch markers???
I really considered the IKEA storage, but decided I was too lazy to get up everytime I needed a new color, lol. I own all of them, so I would need quite a few rows. Even though I only posted 1 bucket, I really own 2.

Sad times...is that the price for Priority Shipping? I would say it might be cheaper to mail another way, but I'm guessing due to weight it might not be worth going another route.
Sad times...I should see how much it would cost to ship First Class or Parcel Post. Though, it would still be quite a big box. If its alot cheaper, I live so close I could get them for you and ship them.
Aren't you too sweet?!?!?! I really appreciate the offer.
I found that if I took them out of the acrylic organizers that I was using, they all fit into the pink polka dot bag that I had them in originally. Should have thought of that sooner. Senior moment, I guess.
Anyway, I'm going to stick with that for now. All my markers fit with room for the last few that I need. I also put some white cardstock and a black ink pad in there, so it's a true "grab-and-go" solution for me.
I use the Spacemaker cubes with the "X" in the middle. I have 2 of these, which I have clipped together. I have divided the markers into 8 colour groups. So far, they seem to be enough to store the Copic Sketch/Original markers that I have.
Where do you purchase these Spacemaker X cubes from? Thanks!
Also somewhere that somebody posted was having a copic sale, but I can't remember off the top of my head. If anybody has this stand, or orders it, I'd love to hear how they like it. I'm putting it on the list of possible things I might want to buy.
I made one from cardboard. You can see it HERE in my gallery. The directions are in the comments. It was pretty easy to make and free! When it gets too small I'll jut make another to put next to it.
I use a crate that I bought at Michaels to hold the markers in the plastic copic cases. I attached regular cabinet pulls to carry the crate around. I love this since I like to be mobile with my markers. Attached is a picture.
Great tips and ideas for storage! I love being able to look at my pretty new markers while having them convinetly located! I would like to have them divided by color group (12) but right now I just have them in a Longaberger Christmas basket that is too big, well or maybe I just don't have enough markers yet. I really like the Magpie storage, but don't have any wall space for it. The X cube look cool too, but not sure how big they are as I have limited space on my desktop. Don't we all have this problem? The must bucket it super cute and I could store that in a drawer and pull it out when I color. so many great choices and ideas!
I think I like this storage because it holds so many of them in one container. I'm probably at about 180 right now.& still have lots of room to expand...lol! I hope they ship to Canada. Thanks for your help!
Here is my "silverware holder"...it is the kind that is made of hard plastic, even the removable cylinders are plastic. Bought mine off of Ebay and I think I spent about $50 total. I love the angle...perfect for viewing. Probably my most favorite storing solution! I currently have about 90 Copics but as you can see there is room for a lot more  !
what is that you have your stickles in???

I was just out today looking for more of the Spacemaker "X" cubes. In my area, the reliable place to find them is Office Max. Well, today they were on clearance! Only $6 each, which is about half price. Unfortunately, that means that they're being discontinued. I don't know if it's just that Office Max isn't going to carry them any more, or if Rubbermaid is going to stop making them. I decided that I'd better do the right thing and HOARD - so I cleaned them out - got six of them this trip. So now I'm using six and have four extras for "expansion".
I fell in love with the enamel bin for copics at AMuse, but i needed 3 and the shipping was a killer, plus they were out of red....... someone suggested this alternative from target, its located in the seasonal shop, they come in 3 colors, red, blue (with white interiors) sage green with pink interior and they are only $10, for the price of 3 AMuse bins i was able to pick up 8 of these bins at Target
i just went to target, and I bought a blue and a green metal bucket as previously posted. I took the last two!! Loving it!
I need to figure out how to remove that handle.
wonder when the summer stuff goes on sale. I will have to go back and more stuff. I saw alot of potential storage items.

I use something similar, but found it at a drug store last summer, in the picnic aisle for $7. It's exactly the same thing, just white with green on the rim.
It said it was utensil carrier.

This is what I use also. I have all of the sketch markers and the two cubes are enough for all the colors. The only problem is not being able to transport them to a different room in the house and also sometimes getting to a color at the bottom of the "X" can be a pain. I just haven't gotten around to coming up with another plan yet.
any spotting of something similar to the Target Bins here in Canada? I would love a few of these...
Check out home hardware. I saw them there about 2 weeks ago.
I made my copic storage from foam core board bought at Dollarama. They are similar to the magpie storage units everyone is talking about. Much cheaper too. I have pics in my gallery.
Copic has wallets now that hold 24 and 36 markers.
I have a case that copic sent me with our marker order - it's plastic like the above and made specifically for holding copic markers, but it only holds 48 or maybe 64 markers (I'll have to double check when I go to the office tomorrow) If anybody wants it let me know, you can have it. I feel terrible that it is just going to waste empty in our warehouse!
