I am in the middle of converting all of my stampin up sets (all 261 of them) and my loose wood mount stamps to cling mount for better storage. I went to Fast Signs and they sold me 4 yards of white cling mount. They also have clear, but I wanted white so I could stamp my image on the cling side with Staz On, cut it out and then glue it to the foam on the back of my stamp. this allows me to see my stamp through the acrylic block and I also use Tack N' Peel on my acrylic blocks.
I wanted to be able to store my sets to match the DVD cases that Stampin Up sells, but they are pricey so I went searching online. I found a great site online (company is in New York) and I ordered 100 14mm DVD Stamp cases: vwvww.buymediasupply.com. (remove the v's in my www - it was doing funky things to my post. So, 100 cases were only $59 and they had free shipping and handling for my order. They sell them in quantities of 25, 50, 75, 100. They came in yesterday and I am very pleased with the quality of the product:
Great Features:
Shipment was double boxed - so no damage
Ordered before 12 pm and they shipped the same day
Cases are Clear - so easy to see stamps inside
Clear Plastic Sheet Cover (to put my printed sheet inside to identify stamps
They DO NOT have the hub but they do have two clips...that I just snap out.

I also ordered these and they are GREAT, still organizing them! I ordered 100 of them and hoping I don't have to order more! Definitely would recommend these to anyone out there wanting to store their stamps in dvd cases.
Oh wao this is great information! I have hesitated to switch my wood stamps to cling, because finding a reasonable storage solution was becoming a chore. This motives me now...Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for the info. I ordered from another company at $80.00, used the 100, and reordered from the co. you recommended. Cheaper price, same item. Thanks!

I've used a couple different brands, but I like these the best. The Rubber Cafe | Simply Storable (2 pk) from The Rubber Cafe. They are a clear plastic, so unlike the gem style cases they won't crack. They don't have any clips or hubs so you can use the entire inside of the case. There is a clear sleeve on both sides.

Could someone who has SU cases as well as the cases from Buy Media Supply post a picture or just tell me if they look the same side by side on a shelf? Thanks!

Here are pictures from another thread talking about the cases. The ones in the picture were ordered from Amazon, but they are the same ones that come from Buy Media. I've ordered them through Buy Media and love them...super quick shipment too. Just like SU, except for the clips. You can cut the clips off easily using the rubber scissors. I keep the clips on for some of the sets to hold the matching dies.
Thanks you to all. I went to buymediasupply.com and placed my order. The product and price are great. So nice to find the advice here on Splitcoaststampers.

LOVE THESE! I have ordered these from Amazon, but now directly from the Checkout store (better price). Very nice quality. They do sell out quickly. There is a link in the Checkout store DVD case description below directly to them to have them let you know when back in stock. They emailed me the day they were back in stock. When you get a "back in stock" email, don't wait-order then!! I love being able to do my stamp inventory like this-I put a labeler label on the spine with the stamp set name, and alphabetically they go in the bookcase. I too unmounted all of my SU wood stamps to cling. Love it!
Not too long ago I unmounted most of my stamps from the wooden blocks and transferred them to binders using stamp storage sheets that are 3 hole punched. In addition I use the Avery type pockets to store unmounted stamps and dies (grouping like with like) which are filed in photo boxes and acylic storage containers. Previously I used cd and dvd cases but they began to take up too much space to store.
I ended up donating well over 100 empty cases to a local thrift store.
