Great ending to the saga of Queen LaLatty and the Scrapbox quest. I didn't think that you could get all the stuff in the pic into that box, but you did it! Where did you your stamp pads end up? Inquiring minds want to know!!! ;)
Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm sorry that I didn't see your question until just now. There is a small closet right next to my scrapbox and that is where I store both of my ink pad caddys. I also keep my box of scrap paper in the closet.
My stamp sets and a few other odds and ends (that I do not use that often) are stored in the garage. Everything else I was able to fit into my scrapbox- with some room to spare ;)
Congrats Patty and thanks for the wonderful ending ... The little Princess looks very happy in her new room too !!!! It was a fun Royal story to follow ... ENJOY !!!
Congratulations on such a wonderful piece of furniture and just to be able to turn your craft room into a place for your little princess. You deserved it. This is an amazing piece that benefit's the whole family.
YAY Patty! i'm thrilled for you! your new Scrapbox is fantastic-love how you can now use more of your stash & that it's organized! super cool fairy tale ending
I never knew who won! Congratulations and how awesome! Thank you for sharing the story and I can tell that box is every bit as fab as I thought it would be. I'll bet you really enjoy crafting in such an organized space!

I LOVED your presentation! I am currently looking into the workbox and am thrilled to find this post. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions. Do you feel that it is very sturdy. Will it hold everything? Papers are soooo heavy and I am so concrned with putting them in those draws wondering if it will all hold!
Since you have now had this a few months, I would love to hear an update of how you feel the space is.
Thanks
Paula

Hi Paula,
Actually I have received several messages asking me about my scrapbox and I guess I should have posted an update here in this thread.
In post #3 of this thread I posted some pictures of all of my stuff before and after I filled my scrapbox and as you can see it really does hold a lot of stuff. I am still amazed at how much it holds. The best part is that (except for underneath the table) everything is right within reach and it's so organized. I know where everything is and there's no more hunting and looking for a certain tool, punch, etc. I have all of my totes labeled and I know right where everything is.
I just thought I would also mention that the table is much larger than I thought it was going to be. There is enough room for me to stamp and have my lap top on it as well.
You asked about my card stock.- I have all of my cardstock in the shelves above. I have them divided into color families and 8x10 on one side and 12x12 on the other. You are correct in that the paper is heavy, but the shelves hold it with no problem. Sometimes when I'm pulling out a tote I will have to hold the shelf with one hand while pulling the tote with the other. I guess because the card stock is so heavy it sometimes pulls the shelf along with it. It doesnt do this all of the time, only sometimes- it's not really a problem, but since you asked I thought I would mention it.
I've had my scrapbox for a few months now and it's been wonderful! If anyone is thinking of getting one, I say go for it! It's given me an organized space of my own, and a place that can hold all of my items plus some more (yep, I still have a few of the smaller totes that are empty). I love that it folds up and everything is neatly tucked away. The baby can't get at my stuff and it's such a beautiful piece of furniture.
Let me know if you have any more questions....or anyone else reading this... feel free to ask me anything and I'll be more than happy to help out.

I can't believe I missed this update -- and doesn't it figure, I'm being sneaky at work, and can't see the pics, but will be back later to check it out Congrats again Patty - I'm looking forward to seeing the final outcome!!
Wow, thanks for the update and it looks fabulous! I have wondered for a long time if I should save up for one and it's nice to actually see it all filled up and how much it really can hold!
Congrats!!!
My wonderful wonderful husband has agreed to drive to Somerset NJ in May to the stamping convention so we can look at the whole line of furniture. He is leaning towards the Workbox, which is bigger than the scrapbox, because after speaking with a few people, we found out they outgrew their scrapbox before they used it, filling it with their supplies, and one woman had hers about 9 mos and was out of room. I would rather have something I can grow into in a few years than out of in a few months.
I am very conservative with my spending, so I don't anticipate going crazy any tme nt he near future.
I will post photos of the whole line when I get back in May!

Hi Paula! I thought I could share some information with you about the Workbox. The Scrapbox is the name of the company that sells the WorkBox, CraftBox, MiniBox, etc. And sometimes the WorkBox is referred to as a ScrapBox.
The CraftBox is similar to the WorkBox, but it is a lot smaller and I would imagine it would fill up rather quickly- maybe this is the one you were referring to? The CraftBox doesn't have the deeper doors with all of the storage space like the WorkBox/Scrapbox has. Here are some links that might be helpful for you.
I'd be more than happy to help if you have any questions about the ScrapBox, just let me know. I agree with you in that you would probably be much happier with the ScrapBox because of all the storage space. As you will see in my pictures, it really holds a ton of stuff!
Have fun at the stamping convention and be sure to let us know which one you decide on. We'd love to see some pictures too
Thank you so much everyone for your congratulations!
I'm so thrilled with my ScrapBox and I use it almost every day! I’m still so amazed at how much stuff it holds and how organized I am now. I love that the table folds up and everything is neatly tucked away, which is perfect for me because our home is pretty small.
You would think if I was going to post, I would at least post using the correct words! Thank you so much for correcting me.
Yes, it is the craftbox people are telling me they outgrew. So, we are considering the workbox.
I am looking forward to going to NJ.
LaLatty, I actually do have a question. The room where this "may" be going will not allow me to open the doors so it is flat to the wall. I will have to open it in the "U" shape. Can you tell me, how do you open yours, and do you feel that if it was opened in the "u" shape that this would give you a closed in feeling?
Thanks so much for the feedback and the "lingo" correction (rofl). I'll get it right yet!!!!

My ScrapBox is hardly ever opened to the full 9 feet width. I just don't have the room for it to open that way. I also use it in a U shape and I don't have any problems using it this way. I think my husband told me that it's about 6 feet wide when opened this way.
I moved my ScrapBox to a different spot in my room (other than what I have shown in my photos). I keep it in the corner of my family room and when I want to open it I just pull it out a bit (it's on wheels so it's super easy to move) and then open the doors and pull up the table.
You won't be able to open the ScrapBox if it is against a wall on one of the sides (like mine is), you will need to pull it away to open the doors. Sometimes if I know that I will be stamping for a few days I will leave it open, but if I know that I am done for the week then I will close it up. I don't have a closed feeling at all, it works perfectly for me.
I posted a few links before, but when I did I skipped this intro on the link. You might get a better idea about the ScrapBox from this intro:
I am pretty late to be posting to this - but I wanted to thank you for all the information. Congratulations on your win,and thanks to all for other information.
We have been full time in our motor home for 10 years (no house at all), but recently bought a home - now we will have a den/office (and craft room) that is highly visible, with no doors and no closet for hiding anything. DH saw the big craftbox and is fine with getting one - my concern is matching other furniture. I have seen some on overstock.com and amazon, but they are the black and vanilla, and I am not sure about the finish.
Any ideas?
