Is there a difference between facts and truth? Yes, there is an important difference. Would we describe St. Paul's Cathedral as a pile of bricks? That is a fact, but far from expressing much of the truth. Facts are like the list of dates, where the truth is about the person who lived in between those dates. Truth is the meaning that accompanies the date and other bit of trivia. Discerning truth is a matter of interpreting the facts. Let us tell our story by putting meaning to the facts. Our loved ones grow so fast, people come and go, days turn into years. As memories fade, will our pages be left with mere facts because feelings were left off? Will those who view our pages see the truth with those photos? What are some ways we add "truth" to our pages, other than just the facts?
This is your challenge.
When you create your page, try to encounter the larger truth of the event being documented. Often the pictures themselves reveal feeling. If the photos leave room for explanation, then bring out some emotion surrounding the pictures. It can be in the choices of the elements you add. Think: Does my page reflect enough of the feelings the people shared at the time, or did I just provide the date? Often faces are telling, but sometimes not so much. Pictures without faces can use help in understanding feeling and the truth, unless it is a photos of St. Paul's, of course. When you upload your project to your gallery, please use Keyword - IFH20Jul. Then copy the link and bring it back here for us all to go visit.

Interesting challenge. I am probably guilty of just adding the facts and leaving out some of the pertinent emotions that accompanied events. Will have to give this challenge a try this month. Thanks for hosting!
Here's my entry for the challenge. It doesn't include a lot of journaling, but I decided to go ahead and mention the fact that finally having a little girl to dress up was very exciting for me. Hope that's not too shallow!
Oh, Cheryl, this page is totally in tune with the theme of adding emotion! You did a wonderful job in just these few words. Thanks for taking this challenge - right on target.

I included how excited she is about making cookies and that she learned to run the mixer and she knows the ingredient list, as well as the fact that we were making cookies to kick off our "two weeks out of school" when everything started. And the stamped phrases say "today is a cookies kind of day"...."And I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be too." ;)
