Happy weekend everyone! It's mid September now but when I was searching for a site to inspire you, I had a dorm room full of bins and bags sitting in my entrance way! I was thinking about my girl heading off to her first college semester and wondering if she had everything she would need. So naturally I came across Dorimfy.com! I can't wait to see what inspires you!
Just for fun I would love to know how you decorated your first living space away from home! Either mention it in your card description or in the comments below!
If you don't care to browse the entire site or if you can't open the site, I have downloaded a lovely group of photos for your inspiration!
Click on the images below to view them larger and to get their links on SCS.
**Please note: If you are unable to view the Inspiration Site in your country, please use one of the pictures provided for you (thumbnails below). Sadly, we have no control over the sites' viewing areas. **
How to Play
~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining us on this inspiration journey.

Hi and welcome to this week's inspiration! I would love to hear how you decorated your first living space away from home!
I moved into a large furnished apartment and I decorated it in browns! I was so excited to buy my first placemats and I thought they were lovely. They were dark brown with yellow flowers! My mom was horrified! LOL
What a week, Angie. Just glad I have a card to upload and glad I could upload it. Crazy time making my card and even crazier when I started to upload it.

Ummm I think it was what ever my step mom gave me but, it was into a furnished studio apartment that she picked out so, really I think I had my clothes.
I did not start buying things to "decorate" until after hubs and I had bought a house.
Here’s my card: IC719-Good Vibes by parknslide - at Splitcoaststampers. I lived at home during college. My first job after graduating was in Honolulu so my decor was a very shabby chic tropical theme. It was a furnished apartment in Waikiki in the rundown area referred to as “The Jungle.” Rattan furniture and tropical theme decor picked up at the swap meet and International Marketplace. Very low budget stuff.

Great challenge! As I went to college about 30 minutes from the beach in Northern California, this Throwback Canvas Art brought back college decor memories. I brought the basics to my college dorm room (this is the late 1970s)- my clothes, a crochet green variegated blanket from my grandmother made for my college days, and of course my stereo systems and records.
My card is done in soft greens and light browns, with gold and bright accents to make it pop- reminds me of beach trips- my only embellishment is a rough twine tie. Used some oval word panels for a bit of fun- here's by the seashore

Quite the milestone, going off to school, dorm life. I never left home until I married, I commuted to college. When I got divorced is when I finally was on my own. I sold the house, moved into an apartment and kind of went nuts, making it my own. I loved it.
Had to check in and tell my dorm story. I went to UMass Dartmouth for my first two years of college on a full scholarship that included room and board. So I had a dorm for free. But I hated it there and it was only 20 minutes away from home, so I never stayed. Not one night. It did not get decorated, but everyone wanted to be my roommate...
Hello everyone,
THANKS for indulging me to play in this challenge. explanation of why I thought this card would fit,? my campus dorm experience come to life on paper! lol ENJOY the holiday season
