IC564-Digital Pencil Too with Diversity {09-24-16}
This week I was inspired by Maurie J Manning (MJM, aka "Mo" from Mo's Digital Pencil). She is an amazing artist and stamp designer that I adore! What I especially like about her is the diversity within her images, something I don't see everywhere. Her characters appear to come from all across the globe, and vary in age, gender, and body proportions just like the rest of us! So I've selected her blog: Digital Pencil Too, as our inspiration site, and I'm adding along a bonus 'diversity' challenge. Here's what I mean: If you normally like to create elegant projects, do something whimsical, or if you would normally stick to fun and whimsical; do something elegant. Finally, if you're more 'middle-tier' with soft-color-palettes and gentle sentiments, then do something dramatic this week that's bold and daring! Let's all "DIVERSIFY IT" this week, and create something that takes us a step or two out of our comfort zone!
Tip: To get the hyperlink of your inspiration image: click on it once from the thumbnail gallery to make it big, then 'right' click (or option click on a Mac) directly on the center of the image in order to select the "Copy Link" command. Then paste it into the description of your project so we can all see what inspired you!
Special Request: Please don't print any of Maurie's hand drawn images from the inspiration site directly to paper for your card or project, as this would be an infringement of her privacy policy. Thank you for understanding.
My Fall CAS Card My Bloom Card Challenge Goals: Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the site reminds you of it - this is all about creating from an inspiration. :cool: So, please take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on the images you browse this week. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by the Digital Pencil Too Blog. Remember that your card might also end up on my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board too, especially if it shows signs of extra deep inspiration! (smiles)
Use the keyword: IC564(no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from I've uploaded 10 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please, and Enjoy!
I didn't have a chance to pull out my copic markers in preparation for this challenge, but I really do love coloring Maurie's images! Here is a link to one of my all time favorite CAS versions from a few years ago....I sent it to a friend that was facing some challenges from his manager:
Fun site! I love Mo's illustrations! Here's my card.

Audrey- thanks for the inspiration site! I was taken in by the Crow's Roost- and didn't add extra embellishments as is my usual style. Here's Spooky House.

I was inspired by today's L.B. Back with the tombstone theme. Used some die cuts for my witch and ghosts, and fussy cut the tombstones. Added a simple flannel fabric/floss border. Here's Punny Tombstones

I don't know if I know what my style is but have been trying different challenges to learn new techniques and stretch my imagination. Audrie, I just discovered Mo's website thanks to stamperrobin, and I agree 100% of your assessment of Mo's images. I was drawn in because of her diversity. Bless you once again for your every inspiring Inspiration Challenges. Wait, was that redundant!?! Thank you!
