IC521 - Forgotten Favorites {11-28-15)

If you are anything like me, you have a HUGE gallery of favorites. Well this week is dedicated to "Forgotten Favorites" and our inspiration site is YOUR very own favorites gallery on Splitcoaststampers.com. Of course, there will be an honor system that says you will stay within your favorites gallery (because I can't see that). Although, I also have a secondary challenge for you; and that is to stick with the theme. In other words, only the older favorites which you have probably forgotten about-LOL. Each favorite card selected should have been posted at least 3 months ago, but ideally at least a year ago. Be sure not to case the card exactly. So, change something to make it a brand new uniquely inspired design! For those of you that don't ever "favorite", I have uploaded 10 of my own favorites so you can focus on 1 or more of them. (smiles)

Handy Tip: To look at last years favorites, first click on the "My Favorites" Link in the left navigation of your own gallery. Once there, scroll all the way down to the bottom and you'll find the "Sort Photos" section (shown in screen shot below). First, change the "Sort by" to 'Posted Date', the "Timeframe" to "Last Year", and the "Order" to "Ascending". When you click "Sort Now" you will be looking at the oldest favorites for the last year - so you can easily focus on the first 2 or 3 pages of search results.

Challenge Goals:
Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. :cool: Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.

Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the "Splitcoaststampers Galleries (card must have been favorited at least once" (but remember these are 'forgotten' favorites, so the inspiration card should be at least 3 months old, and a year old would be even better! (Feel free to favorite an older card if you really want to use it as your inspiration-smiles!)

Use the keyword: IC521 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites (since there are so many pins)! So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.

How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!

Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Audrie- what a great challenge! Went back a few years to get inspiration from this cute card- What's Cookin'- used TE's Kitschy Kitchen (sp) for my toaster, popping toast, and sentiment.
