Inspiration Challenge 325 ~ Galleria Arts & Crafts

This week�s Inspiration Challenge site ~ Galleria Arts & Crafts in Calgary ~ was suggested by Arleen Yee (arlybeans). It is a store in Arleen�s City that has 9000 plus square feet of space is teeming with handmade Canadian crafts.

And remember � out of respect for the creative originality of these talented artists, please do not print out photos of the items to use directly on your project or copy a piece exactly.

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I�ve uploaded five of my favorites � so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.

The rest of you, remember to let us know which item from Galleria Arts & Crafts that inspired you.

Use the keyword: IC325 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.

How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!

Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Thanks, Arleen & Stef, for the wonderful site showcasing some of the beautiful art by Canadian artists. So much inspirsation. I'm intent on getting my Easter cards done so I did not go an "artistic" route to create a card just for the sake of creating a card. But I found inspiration nonetheless.

Steph- thanks for the great challenge today! I looked at the jewelry and was inspired by Wanda Shum Designs - in particular, her dragonflies- and got out SU's Nature's Wonders for a stamped dragonfly. I used my Sizzix DC Dragonflies #3, and colored it with gel pens, and added some ribbon and fabric to represent sky and the ground. Here's 2 Dragonflies and a Fish

What a great site, lots of Inspiration! So much so that I made two cards. The first was inspired by a metal piece. Here is my card, Sand Dollar Mesh. My second card was inspired by a beautiful silk scarf. And here is my card, Silk Inspired Paradise. This card was fun to do, tried a technique I had never done before, shaving foam background.
