This week's SCS Inspiration Challenges comes from the Project Thirty-Three, a website celebrating album covers ... specifically the seemingly infinite number of vintage record jackets that convey their message with only simple shapes and typography. I grew-up in a home that housed thousands of record albums that were played every day, so I have always had a special appreciation for album cover art.
Project Thirty-Three is a shrine to circles and dots, and their less jovial but equally effective cousins, squares, rectangles & triangles ... and the brilliant designers that make them come to life on album covers. Other categories featured are arrows, abstract shapes, lines, and typography-only.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, Ive uploaded three of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. The rest of you, remember to let us know which album cover from Project Thirty-Three inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC264 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Merry Christmas, Stef. Thanks for all that you do for this challenge....even at this busiest time of the year! I appreciate you!
I never thought I would have time to do this challenge, but my internal alarm clock had me up VERY early. It was the opportunity to create a card...allbeit, a simple one.
Merry Christmas Stef and thanks for all you've done this year! You are a hostess w/ the the mostess!
I saw some interesting sights here that I hope to get to later on.

Thanks for posting on Christmas Stef. I'm home alone today (Hubby is working - he's a law enforcement officer. Crime never takes a day off.) so it was nice to have a challenge to work with. I DO remember these album covers. My dad had a huge collection of albums in the 60s and I always liked looking at the graphic designs on the covers.
A blessed Christmas to everyone! found time to make a quick card - what fun album covers! I made an error on my link - but hopefully the edit shows up quickly!
Merry Christmas, everyone. I'm waiting for my daughter and her two children to come for dinner later on, so I took some time to do my favorite challenge of the week. Here's my card --
Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday.
I was planning to play along, but a short walk turned into a long one, and I ran out of time.
Here's my Dahlia Twist, and I have another idea too.
