A BIG HELLO right from Katy, Texas! We live in a suburb of Houston where most of the oil patch lives. DH has been in the oil industry his entire career. Wouldn't trade my neighbors for anything....the friendliest people you will ever want to meet. Also spent a year in Boerne, TX loving the Hill Country!!
Born in Fort Worth, then moved to Franklin (tiny town no too far from Bryan/College Station). Then moved all over the country courtesy of dad being in the military.
I've lived in the Copperas Cove/Killeen/Fort Hood area for over 16 years now. Total time in Texas? Over 20 years - with no plans to leave!

Born and raised in this country we call Texas. Have you ever noticed how Texans tend to behave as if we are truly a country all by ourselves? I think about moving away but I find it almost difficult so I guess I'll just move to another part of Texas.
Yes!! I'm proud to say I'm a Texan!! -- by way of Minntesota and Massachusetts.
Yes; This Hustonian is a proud Texan!
Moved here 10 years ago and my DH would have to drag me out of here by my hair if he ever wanted to leave. Looking for other SU demonstrators in Houston to do swaps, etc. my upline is all out of town.
I was born in Denison, have lived in McKinney, Howe, and Sherman... now living in Denison (60 miles north of Dallas), work at the hospital in Sherman, and my husband works for TXU (please don't hold that against me!) in the metroplex out of the Plano office...
Texan here!!!!!!! Born in Killeen and grew up 19 yrs in Copperas Cove/Ft Hood area!! Would love to move back there...when hubby gets out of the navy. We keep trying to get back there and they never give us it. And it is true about Texans behaving as a whole country by themselves...i do that all the time! i can't wait to go there on vacation on the 15th. I will be in Allen TX the 16-18 then in Cove for a week then down to San Antonio for by baby brother's wedding!! going to be lots of fun!!!

My husband's great aunt lives in Franklin, TX. He goes deer hunting at her place every year!
I'm a Texan, too. Born in Corsicana. I left when I gradutated high school, joined the Navy, married a sailor and followed him all over until he retired.
We moved back in 1988 and have been living in Duncanville ever since. I have lived many places but, TEXAS has always been home.
Oh, that was low....
I say "saw 'em off"....hehehe
Actually, it is a possibility that we may move to Austin within a year or two. I would really love to move there.
Born and raised in Dallas.
My husband is from Duncanville, class of '87.
We now live in Lancaster, but will hopefully moving in a few months to Red Oak.
I work with Julie (afancycat) at DBU.
I am a native Texan. I have lived my entire life in the same time (except for my college years). I live in a small West Texas town --- Stanton. I teach 18 miles away in Big Spring.
Wasn't born in Texas but Texas is home to me. I currently live in Pleasanton near San Antonio and will be moving to the College Station area later this summer. Also spent a couple of years in El Paso and Houston.
Hey Ya'll!
I am another San Antonio resident! I love San Antonio because it is big, but still very much a small town. Everyone knows everyone else. You wouldn't believe how many people that I meet that know someone I know. lol. My husband and I both teach at O'Connor - so we usually know all the teenagers around! He teaches Chemistry and everyone likes him so we usually get great tables at all the eateries around here. lol, it is good to know people! ;)

Hey, I'm an "old" Texan! Born in Houston, raised at Buffalo - Texas. that is! followed dh all over while in military and came home to Oak Leaf (south of DeSoto ) in 1994.
Carried Texas with me to many , many places over the years, but never left her!
Linda, oh yes, new to scs never posted, yet!!! but love you all!
Hi! I was born in Izmir, Turkey to wonderful parents who are native Texans. I was raised in San Antonio, TX after we came back from Athens, Greece. And now, I make my home in God's Country (AKA Austin, TX) with my dear, sweet husband who lets me spend all his money on Stampin' Up. . .;)
Ventured out of the demo area and came across this not-so-little thread about the great state of Texas! I call San Antonio home but grew up all over the place (military brat). My parents retired in San Antonio and we love it...big city with a small town feel.
Right now, I'm down in Aransas Pass... my DH is stationed in Ingleside (Navy) but I go up to San Antonio every chance I get. Don't know what I'm going to do when we have to move again. Gonna miss the city and Tex-Mex!

HowDY! I live in Arlington, and have been a Texan all my life. Glad to see so many devotees!
If anyone wants to get together for a crop, let me know. I would be happy to host at my house sometime. AND, our babysitter said she would be happy to watch kiddos during the crop if anyone wants to bring their kids.
