CNY Stamps Returns -- AKA "The Gathering"
Hosted by Linda Tarolli (SCS: lindylou1220)
Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
East Syracuse, NY
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: May 3
This event will be held on the lower level. There is a short flight of stairs and no elevator available.
ALSO: This is the primary means of communication. You will want to check in often to be fully informed. Participant list and swap lists will be updated ONLY when registration forms with payments are received. It is fine to post here that you are coming and which swaps you're interested in, but lists will be updated only once your registration arrives. Thank you for understanding.
*********************************
It's an entire day of stamping fun so plan to join us at our next Central New York Shoebox Swap.
Cost – $25.00 by check or PayPal Friends & Family. Your registration must be paid no later than 5 o'clock on May 3. This will give you a month to complete your swaps and projects. Registration form is at the bottom of this post. There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else.
UPDATED 5/7: Please make up 13 project kits (plus oopsies) PLUS one (1) completed project. The completed projects will be displayed at your table only.
SWAPS: Participate in none, one, some or all. It's up to you.
• Recipe 6 X 6 format (people food recipes, please) - 5
• SU only card front (it's gotta be current SU! for this one) - 11
• NVR card front (NVR + no vendor requirement; anything goes) - 10
• Fancy fold full card (it'd be great if you could include directions if not obvious) - 9
Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project – Bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not prestamped or prepunched) needed for EVERYONE to make your project the day of the event. Quality products are mandatory. There are several threads that discuss quality of swaps. Please read them if you are unsure or ask here. Your shoebox project will be set out in the morning. You will work on your table's projects in the morning and move to a different table, graze, shop garage sale items and move to a different table as seats open. GOOD DIRECTIONS ARE REQUIRED TO BE POSTED WITH YOUR SHOEBOX but you'll also briefly describe your project for the room at large. Yes, you are in essence a demo for the day! Make 13 kits plus one extra completed shoebox project. Participation in the table shoebox project is mandatory. This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. Make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself. Projects should take NO MORE THAN 10-15 minutes to complete. If you are unsure, time someone else doing your project.
Food – Please indicate on the registration sheet the food item you will bring to share. Please be specific; don’t just say “food”! Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts, and snacks. Water and coffee will be provided. We love to try your food specialties!
“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk. There is a very limited table space for garage sale items. If you are bringing a lot to sell, BYO table. Please have items priced and include your name somewhere obvious.
Goodie Bags – for everyone! Everyone will leave with a bag of fabulous goodies. The goodie bags will all have the same value but may have variations in colors, etc. If you would like to donate to the goodie bags, please message me.
We'll happily accept door prizes (new condition and stamping related, please). It's fantastic that we can give so much away so please consider donating.
Other Stuff – Please bring your own LABELED items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without: favorite adhesive(s), bone folder, paper trimmer, scoring tool, scissors, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.
Simple name tags will be provided.
SHARE THIS EVENT WITH A NEWBIE OR FRIEND. ALL ARE WELCOME.
Complete the registration form and forward with your payment no later than May 3. All funds collected will be spent on the event.

FINAL COUNT 11, includes you
I won't be able to attend and that makes me sad. It's my DS's 30th birthday. Also, we are hoping to be able to take the trip overseas that we planned in March of 2021, so we'll need to be restrictive about being around people starting the beginning of June so we can pass the required COVID tests.
Have fun!
I have heard that some registrations are on the way, so I'm going to leave this open through Saturday. After that, I will close and do a final update on swaps, etc. Meanwhile, you could take a look to be sure I've got you listed correctly. Thanks.
We're officially closed, with 13 participants. With that number, you'll be making ALL of the cards so there won't be extras needed. I will modify the initial write up to show the counts and have updated all swaps.
SWAPS: • Recipe 6 X 6 format - 5 • SU only card front - 11 • NVR card front - 10 • Fancy fold full card - 9
Gayla, that's a fun fact. I didn't remember that about our original gathering. Yes, everyone will do all the shoeboxes plus I will, as usual, have some others to complete.
Please let me know if I haven't explained clearly about the shoeboxes in the write up above.
I hope everyone is feeling ready for Saturday. I'm almost there.
FYI...aside from lots of your favorite adhesive (liquid & tape runner) and your basic kit (bone folder & scissors at minimum), you may want to bring along your (small) paper trimmer, dimensionals... (I will come back and add to this list before Saturday morning.)
The goodie bags are ultra full this go round. I have done a major clean out of "stash" and everyone will be getting:
Sampling of Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes + DSP + in color cardstock and some new flower gems. I hope you like these as I've been having fun playing this week.
Extra envelopes (thanks to the generosity of my friend Pam D & her DIL)
Random rolls of washi tape and ribbon (1 of each)
A Stampin’ Up! Blending Brush
If something is not your style, feel free to swap with a friend or take it home and give it away.
You'll be able to use some of the Tea Boutique items for a couple of make & takes and will likely want to use your trimmer for these.
In addition, Gayla has promised a one-sheet wonder for everyone to make and those always need cutting.
