I've never attended a shoebox swap and this is in my neck of the woods so I'm thinking about coming. Just wondering how y'all do the shoebox swap... I've read the instructions and understand participants bring a little kit of everything that will be needed for others to recreate their card/project. I'm just curious how everyone makes the card/project during the event. Do you rotate card projects so everyone is working on one at the same time or are there multiple stations set up? Do you have to talk about your card/project?

I'll probably have more questions later, but I wanted to throw out my current questions while they were still burning.

Thanks and it sounds like it may be a fun event. Is it SU! only all the way or can you use other quality products like Gina K papers?

only the SU cardfront is su only.
as for the shoebox. each table usually has about 8 stampers at each. to begin with each stamper explains her card/small 3D project. then the fun begins. everyone shifts to the left. makes the project. contiues to shift till the table is done. no hard fast rules-- if the spot is full-go and snack/chat. or hop the spot. but stay & finish your table.

We don't have an SU only swap, so all swaps and shoebox projects are "no vendor requirement". We usually leave the project at your seat and move around. That allows for more socializing. It is best to write clear directions to your project, but there will be a moment at the beginning for instructions if there is something that needs to be demonstrated or explained. And no one is far away, anyway.

I can't get to the PM part either through Firefox, but can through Internet Explorer. Firefox found problems with that part of the site on 1/25, so it won't let me go there. There is a thread in the Tech Questions Forum about this.

Looks like we have a good sampling of desserts/treats at this point. If you are thinking about what food to bring, more lunch/healthy items are needed. Also I don't think soda/ice is on the list, if ppl want that.
