I must have a thing for flamingos because I bought that stamp set when it game out. I see it on ebay sometimes. I'm glad I have it. It's still one of my favorites.

I finished my shoebox stuff last week.... need to stay ahead. Anyone that knows me .... this is an unusual act for me.... can't wait to stamp, see old friends and eat chocolate.....
......as I have never written instructions before for this but how detailed does it need to be, including card cut and score lines which will already be done for you? Also, do we bring extra supplies (cut pieces) for OOOPS. What time are we allowed to come in and do you need help setting up? Do we need to bring a stamp mat or are the tables covered?
I'm glad to say that after having 5 days of no internet last week I then had time to create, cut, score and fold all 30 cards - really all you have to do is stamp 3 things and slap on the tape.....
Hello Andrea I see that Janine has not sent her payment. This is her 1st swap and she is not sure how it works.... i will have her mail her payment today....PLEASE save her spot she is coming with all of us thanks !!!!
Hey Mary
Thanks for the heads up and I will leave the spot for her. I would like confirmation from her as well just to keep my head on straight with who all is coming so Lisa and I can start preparing...

We have paper that you can stamp on but it is always wise to bring more, I know I get carried away with the ink sometimes and have to switch paper or a stamping mat would be good.
If you think people will make mistakes by all means slip in extra paper but my motto is there is always the other side to be stamped, so keep that in mind. As for instructions, think how you made the card. It is helpful to put the supplies like ink, paper, stamp set and so on. If the card is difficult to make then more instruction maybe needed. To be honest most people don't read the directions and this could be a bad thing but if you look at a card you can figure out how something is created, directions are nice to see if you are unsure how a piece is put on that card.
As for scoring the card and the little extras, that is totally up to you. It is a nice jester but not necessary..

Thanks again

Andrea, Spoke with Janine (jgegorek) she is still attending and her payment is in
the mail today. I also looked at the list and forgot to sign up for something to bring. I will bring a cooler of ice? is this okay...... I will have janine send you what she is bringing.
I hate to ask this question, but is there a contingency plan if the hurricane comes up the bay on Saturday? (My DH is making me ask this question). Me personally, know I'll be fine stamping in that big room for the day... hahahah!!
Also... stampers, don't forget I'll be bringing used empty SU clear cases and blocks. The blocks are gummy... $1 for the clear cases and 4 for $1 for the blocks. Bring your $1's. I do not have change...
I use the cases for lots of things. I have my SU embossing powder in one, rhinestones in one, pearls in one, they are great for storage of your embellishments and if you have single stamps you want to organize, these are great. I also use one for putting in my "Stamping Go Bag" so that my cards don't get messed up, folded, creased or rained on.
For weather plans.... I don't see an issue. I watched the news/weather today and they are expecting Irene to hit us on Sunday around 2p. So I think we should be good. Thanks for asking....
Weather be damned! I will be there with Oreo Balls, ready to stamp!! There are plenty worse places to be stuck than a room full of cards to make & yummy snacks! I could totally survive off of just Oreo Balls for several days at least! ;)
Pam, I hope the swap is still a go!
Andrea and Lisa, Is it OK to try to arrive a little early to try to finish before 4 p.m.?
OK so I'm not the only one that might be considering bugging out early.....hubby's like are you still going? UHHH YEAH, first one and I can't wait....might have to have some Oreo Balls for the ride home though, LOL!
Ladies... the swap is still on ...... if you can get the cards done early then we can leave... I think it will be ok... the worst of the weather is not due until later evening.....
Thanks everyone for another wonderful swap! Andrea & I appreciate your support. It was great to meet our newbies and nice to catch up with our regulars.
Check out our blog (lastampers.blogspot.com) where Andrea will be posting all of our cards when she gets a chance.
Andrea and Lisa....thanks again for a great swap. I think the cards get better every swap. Such a friendly group of people. Can't wait for the next swap. Everyone stay safe and dry!!!
